If You're So Smart ..
One fine sunny day on a Malfoid "girls day out".
Draca and the twins had stopped in front of the Honeydukes display case, the not immediately obvious twin sisters already arguing over which tin of Fizzing Whizzbees was better.
Lucinda had her hands on her hips. “I’m just saying if you’re so clever you’d have noticed the yellow tin is on sale."
"Or is Ravenclaw only good at books and not actual shopping” she jabbed.
Minny’s eyes narrowed behind her glasses. She deliberately turned, and said in the slow, drawn-out, know-it-all voice she’d clearly perfected.
“Well, maybe if someone who didn't actually read the full sign tried listening to someone who did."
"10 pieces is clearly less than 20 which the obviously bigger blue tin clearly says."
"Or didn't they teach you math at Hufflepuff" as she purposely over pronounced the house name smugly.
Draca, standing a step behind them with the shopping bag, made a short, involuntary snort of laughter before she caught herself and pressed her lips together.
Lucinda whipped around. “Mum! You laughed !"
Draca lifted a hand, the picture of attempted composure. “I did no such .. "
But Lucinda was already talking over her, voice climbing, explaining for the two hundredth time why she belonged in Slytherin.
Minny stood very still, the corner of her mouth curved in pure satisfaction, until she felt the weight of her mother’s legendary stare on her and glanced over.
Draca was looking straight at her.
The earlier mirth was totally gone and in its place was that exact famous Malfoid narrow icy stare that screamed she had already put the pieces together.
Minny’s proud expression flickered.
Draca’s voice was mild when she finally spoke. “And how many points do you think Ravenclaw should lose for that one, eh Minny ?”

Who is the smartest antagonist in Harry Potter?
Everyone talks about Voldemort, Dumbledore’s rivals, and the Death Eaters, but I think Rita Skeeter deserves more credit.
Rita became an unregistered Animagus and turned that ability into a weapon for her career. She knew how to get information, manipulate public opinion, and exploit people for profit. She wasn't fighting for blood purity or world domination. Her only real loyalty was to herself.
And what makes her clever is that she knows when to back down. When Hermione exposes her Animagus secret, Rita agrees to write for The Quibbler. She hates it, but the article helps reveal the truth about Voldemort's return. Rita can be vindictive, but she isn't foolish enough to let revenge destroy her own interests.
Voldemort wanted power. Rita wanted survival, money, and influence. And unlike many of Harry's enemies, she knew when to stop pushing her luck.
