The headline 'Long Covid is real' five years after it was first described should really make people think about why so much effort has been expended to convince you otherwise.
Long Covid Is Real — And It’s Changing an Entire Generation
Hundreds of thousands of kids in America are struggling with an illness that many doctors and schools refuse to recognize.e

One of the most straightforward, radical, life affirming actions you can take right now is wearing a K/N95 mask. Community care & self care rolled into one easy act. Show up for yourself and your neighbors.

The Big Death Bill passed. The GOP chose to kick millions off health insurance, close hundreds of hospitals, nursing homes, & reproductive health clinics, leave millions of families without enough food, & kill thousands. This is the biggest assault on health in recent history.

Maybe health insurance CEOs should just stay in their homes forever.
It's what everyone keeps telling me to do as a disabled person when people make it unsafe for me to be part of public life:
Stay home if you're afraid.

I am seeing more and more opinions bubbling up about how throwing trans people to the wolves would be a winning strategy for Democrats, and I just want to quickly say: Fuck off with that absolute dog shit.
Nothing worse than when the questions you're asking about a story while revising it turn out to be the exact same questions the characters themselves are asking that actually make the story a story and not just a moment in time.

thinking about the incarcerated people who were left behind during the hurricane, who weathered the storm in cages, who may not have power or water or any way of contacting their loved ones outside the walls. prison abolition is a climate issue
Sooo Fauci got Covid for the 3rd time and shortly thereafter contracted West Nile virus, but still thinks people should only take Covid precautions if they're "vulnerable" bc those are the only people to whom Covid poses a substantial threat??? Weird!
Folks in Oregon who put on N95s for wildfire smoke but not for airborne virus protection during a huge C*vid surge are *wiiiiiild* to me! Is it bc the physical effects of smoke are more immediate? Or bc poor AQI in the summer has been the norm for longer? Baffling.

Something about chipping away at a novel during a flare is actually really comforting? Like, I'm happy to move at the same very slow, somewhat-confused pace as the storyline itself? If it was revealing itself to me faster I wouldn't be able to keep up!
I just got an infusion of immune-suppressing medication at a center where *all* the patients were receiving some kind of immunotherapy and not one of them, nor any of the nurses, were masked. I was the only one!!!! Also, so much coughing 🤦♀️💔
