Seriousness is not proof. Cults are serious. That doesn’t make them true.
Islam looks “100% serious” because leaving it can cost you family, status, or your neck. That’s not conviction. That’s a locked door. Christianity in the West looks soft because a lot of churches went lukewarm, not because Christ is a joke. The first Christians were beheaded, burned, and fed to beasts rather than burn a pinch of incense. That’s seriousness without a blasphemy law holding the door shut.
Expectations don’t decide truth. Pharisees had higher expectations than fishermen. Jesus still called them whitewashed tombs. A religion can demand five prayers, a dress code, and a diet and still be false. A faith can look casual on a Sunday in America and still be the one whose Lord walked out of the grave.
If “taken seriously” means social control, say that. Don’t baptize pressure as proof. The question is not who yells louder. It’s who rose.
