The physical lamp is just a symbol. The real lamp is you. You have to be lit up, vibrant, smiling, and full of energy and joy. That is the real festival.
This can only happen with knowledge, not just through comforts, gadgets, money, or friends. Real knowledge comes with wisdom.
The work you refuse to hand over is usually the work you have decided is your identity. Give it away next week and watch what comes up. That discomfort is the actual thing worth looking at. I always aim for personal redundancy - if you are not redundant, you cannot get promoted.
Final one - just a reminder that we are silver members on @airindia Maharaja club and Farhan at dabolim Goa who works for @AirIndiaX told us that the membership is nothing to do with air India express. Possibly an update for employees is required?
Did Farhan at Goa dabolim work for @flyspicejet before he started with @AirIndiaX - his behaviour was exactly the reason I vowed to never fly them. Basic math and logic severely compromised.
People take a painkiller for a headache within fifteen minutes of noticing it. The same head has been noisy for years, and you have decided that is just your personality. It isn't. Learn and practice #meditation and you will be amazed at how quiet things can be in there.
Finish dinner three hours before you sleep. Eat at 10 and lie down at 11, and your stomach pulls a night shift while the rest of you tries to rest. Then you wake up heavy and blame the mattress. The mattress was fine. The biryani timing was the problem.
Your head rehearses an argument you will never actually have. You write both parts, and you still lose. Catch it happening and it deflates almost at once. Meditation and breath work do far more for the tussle in your head than you can imagine.
Your breath turns shallow about ten minutes before you notice you are upset. It is the earliest signal you have and most don't notice.
Ten slow breaths, exhale longer than the inhale, and the body concludes the emergency is over. Meditation can make this more or less automatic.
Fifty seven brain imaging studies got pooled together in July. Adults with sleep disorders had less tissue in the bit of the thalamus that runs attention.
What we know is that the repair work happens while you are asleep, so tonight, vote for a better brain. Choose #sleep.
The moon owns no light. It simply faces the sun completely, holds that position, and becomes a source for the whole sky.
The facing is the discipleship. The stillness is the practice.
Sit for a while. Ask for nothing. Just be.
Let something get reflected.

What kills most projects is the arguing in your own head about whether any of it is worth doing. Twenty minutes of meditation in the morning quiets that argument enough for you to get on with it, and decide which dream deserves your time and effort.
"I want to write a book" is a mood.
"40,000 words, 500 words a day, first draft by December" is something you can be late for... and that's still ok.
A dream has a chance to become real the day it gets a size and a date.
You cannot tell your mind to calm down. It will not listen. But breathe out slowly for twice as long as you breathe in, do it for two minutes, and watch the anger drop a level on its own. The breath reaches the mind through a back door. Meditation makes it even more effective
A promotion changes your title, your parking spot and the number of people who want your attention. It does not change how you feel at 6am on a grey Tuesday. That job was always yours. Meditatoin helps more than you can imagine.
You plan the whole holiday down to the airport pickup, then wonder why the first two days feel like withdrawal. A body run flat out for months does not switch off on landing. Rest needs a runway too.
Most people chase a success they never sat down and defined. So they hit the target, feel nothing, and assume they need a bigger target. The maths does not work. You cannot arrive somewhere you never named.
You will negotiate hard for a 20% raise, then hand your entire evening to a WhatsApp group for free. Guard the evening hours the way you guard the money.
A drunk person knows he is drunk. A sleep-deprived person is convinced he is fine, which is exactly the problem. On four hours you may feel perfectly alright. You just consistently make worse decisions all day and blame everyone else.
#artofliving has been teaching #yoga before most people had even heard of yoga. What you do on the mat is only the part that cameras can capture. There is an ocean of knowledge awaiting you beyond that. Watch our video for more - youtu.be/iinHyK9QpyI
