Finding no incident #HIV infections in the #PURPOSE-1 study was unprecedented, and if confirmed in the PURPOSE-2 study of #GBT and #nonbinary people who have sex with cisgender men, this will lead to a new #HIVprevention modality that can be given twice a year. #gamechanger
Lenacapavir, an #HIV drug in development that’s injected every six months, has been found to be 100% effective in a clinical study as HIV prevention (PrEP) for cisgender women.
