Today, I asked the Supreme Court to affirm that federal courts have the power to hear my case.
The government knows all too well that its baseless allegations and smears against me cannot survive the slightest scrutiny in federal court. That’s why it is doing everything it can to keep those courts from looking at my case and to channel it into its kangaroo immigration courts.
So the question is simple: can the government weaponize immigration laws to punish someone's speech, then tell federal courts they have no power to step in?
If the answer is yes, none of our speech is safe. If the Trump administration can punish someone for pro-Palestine speech, this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech.

Oh really? Because @USAttyEssayli and @DHSgov BOTH claimed I was not telling the truth when I said that all 20,000 names on the list hadn’t been verified yet.
And now we have a top official at DOJ outright agreeing with me!
WOW. Trump’s #2 at DOJ just admitted this:
“There may be some names on there who it turns out ultimately are citizens. We’re not perfect.”

Replying to @ReichlinMelnick
I had the same thought when I saw that post earlier. Trump himself said he wanted to hand out green cards to international students at graduation.

I tracked Trump's immigration campaign promises fairly extensively throughout 2024. I do not a recall a single time that his campaign promised to cut legal immigration by half.
PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT.
@NYTimes: 'The Trump administration cut legal immigration in half early this year with policies blocking visas for immigrants from nearly half the globe.'

Wonder what’s changed?

This is how we are treating our history. Coming from Rome, where every random tomb and pyramid from 2000 years ago is preserved and celebrated, this breaks my heart. We have history and culture as complex and layered and old. We ought to treat it better.

Ab lauki ka mazaak udaane se bhi desh ka Hindu dukhi ho jaata hai
Actress Kareena Kapoor appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show with her husband, Saif Ali Khan. During the show, she said that people in Saif Ali Khan’s family always ask for bottle gourd (lauki) to be cooked. While saying this, she made a disgusted face. She then said, We are people who eat paya, referring to non-vegetarian food, and started laughing, implying that she cannot eat bottle gourd (lauki).
Kareena Kapoor is such a big actress, yet she is making fun of veg food on national television and showing such disdain for vegetarian food, even in a Hindu-majority country where a large number of people enjoy vegetarian food and it is widely preferred in India.
Kareena Kapoor should respect all kinds of food choices. I did not expect this from her.

Chicago is great but its problems are obvious: it was built over soggy marshland and, to this day, ancient amphibians, pale salamanders the size of train cars and toads the size of houses, slumber in the soft mud beneath the water table. One day, those monsters will wake up.

Vance is confronted by the emotional husband of a soldier killed in Iran War and acts like he had no idea anyone ever died:
Q: It's a hard price to pay. There's a failure in the leadership. How will the leadership be held accountable?
Vance: If there were failures... This is the first time I've heard of this.
