the 2025 cohort is insane:
• more new companies on Stripe than ever, 57% outside the US
• growing 50% faster than the 2024 cohort
• 2x the number hitting $10M ARR within 3 months
• iOS apps released in Dec 2025 up 60% YoY
• GitHub pushes surged 41% (was growing 10-12%/yr)
the sorting machine is accelerating
openclaw is buggy yet it's really good. it's the clearest vision of a true ai agent not bc it makes the models any smarter but bc it gives them better equipment. ofc its also good that the models are smarter now
someone asked how I have claude code play a sound when it needs more input
i'm using a stop hook. add this to your .claude/settings.json file (mac)
its now become very easy and worthwhile to make small, personal apps using claude code.
what used to be spreadsheets are now repos. formulas are prompts
two i have running that have really made my life a lot easier:
- a 2d kanban board for task tracking
- personal finances
it's really weird to keep hearing this argument that AI will bring so much abundance that not having jobs won't be a problem. we already live in a world our ancestors would consider abundance. people still starve and are homeless.
exuberant to see Mamdani win. Idk if his policies will be good for the people of NYC but he seems to be earnestly trying to help. that combined with the ability to learn fast on the job set him up to make a dent
