He doesn't realize that 70% of France has rejected the officials they voted for . People aren't stupid you can only fleece them for so long.
In his address, President Macron has said the country is in need of calm after "far-left fringe groups and delinquents unleashed unchecked violence on our streets". He will consult with local authorities to contain any violence on the streets of France, including banning certain gatherings. He called on all political parties and trade unions to condemn violence, while indicating that the government will work with organisations and elected officials to develop solutions to the problems voiced by protestors. "Those that tell you to create disorder have one goal - to undermine the republic and steal the debate", he concluded.

Dear Secretary Bessent @SecScottBessent, On October 14th I wrote to you about Bank of America @BankofAmerica. You did not answer. 3.6 million Americans did. I want to tell you what that looked like from where I sit, because I do not think Washington understands it yet. The messages did not come from one side. They came from Republicans and Democrats, from veterans and nurses and small business owners, from people who have not agreed with each other about anything in a decade. They all said a version of the same sentence. We have had enough. That is what a national security issue looks like when it finally breaks through. It does not pick a party. It belongs to everyone who has a kid, a bank account, or a flag on the porch. So let me be plain about my concern. I am worried that nothing is going to happen. The fine has been announced. The press cycle is already turning. In a few weeks the number will be forgotten and the bank will be back to business. I have watched this exact sequence play out before, and I am writing to you now, while there is still a window, because once that window closes it does not reopen. I am also widening this letter, because Treasury does not act alone. To the Department of Justice @TheJusticeDept and to FBI Director Kash Patel @FBIDirectorKash: Director Patel, you were not in the chair when this happened, so I want you to hear it from me directly. In 2011 I walked into the FBI with everything I had on HSBC. Not a tip. Boxes. Names, account numbers, transaction records, internal emails. Agents worked that evidence for over a year. I trusted them, and I still believe they wanted to do their jobs. Then the settlement was announced. $1.9 billion. I called the agents and asked the only question that mattered. When do you raid the building and when are the arrests? Their answer was four words. Our hands are tied. I have thought about those four words every day since. Not because the agents failed me. Because somebody above them decided that a bank was too important to treat like a defendant. That decision was made quietly, by people whose names I will never know, and it has been made again every time since. Director Patel, you now have the authority to make a different one. I remember the words carved into the stone outside the federal building in Philadelphia the day I walked in to report @HSBC: justice is the defense of our liberty. I believed that. I still want to. But a justice system that handcuffs a dealer on the corner and sends a bank a bill is not defending anyone’s liberty. It is choosing whose liberty counts. To Brian Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of America @BankofAmerica: Mr. Moynihan, your bank just agreed to pay $1.2 billion for failures that regulators called willful. I have a few questions, and the 3.6 million people reading this would like the answers too. Who was fired? Not reassigned. Not retired early with a package. Fired, by name, for the conduct the government described. What has actually changed in your anti money laundering program? Not the budget line. Not the consultant’s slide deck. What is different today about how an alert gets cleared and who is allowed to say stop? Were there any consequences inside the building at all? Or did this land the way it landed at HSBC bank, as a line item? And how much is your bonus this year? I ask because I know what it costs a compliance officer to raise his hand inside a bank like yours. I would like to know what it cost anyone at the top. Do you even care? I am asking sincerely. I would like to be wrong. Here is what I did about all of this, and why it matters to this letter. After the government declined to help me or any of the whistleblowers I have met since, I built the thing I wished had existed. Tactical Rabbit is a private intelligence agency. We find the truth, we prove it, and we put it in the hands of people who will act on it. I made a decision a long time ago that if the government would not stop the next HSBC, I would. So to anyone inside a bank reading this who is looking at something they know is wrong: if your bank will not act, and the government will not act, come to me. I will get the truth to the public. That is not a threat. It is a promise I have already kept once. Mr. Secretary, Director Patel, the Department of Justice, and Mr. Moynihan: four addresses, one question. Will anyone be held accountable? Not fined. Not suspended. Not asked to attend training. Accountable. Please end the cycle of too big to jail. I will not stop until there is change, and neither will the millions of Americans standing behind this letter. Answer them. We need a banker in jail. Everett A. Stern HSBC Whistleblower Founder, Tactical Rabbit

And this right here is why we should have intelligence tests before allowing people to reproduce.
Just in case anyone is wondering: I live in Paris; if I didn’t have X dot com I would have no idea there are riots in France.

Can someone please invoke the 25th?

Hate to say it, but I’m unfollowing everyone who thinks Ukraine should surrender to Russia. And if I ask a legitimate question and your only response is some ignorant bullshit instead of an actual answer, you can go too. I believe in freedom, sovereignty, and a nation’s right to defend itself. That includes Ukraine. You don’t have to agree with me, but at least bring some facts to the conversation. I’m done wasting my time arguing with people who refuse to think.

WTF is wrong with men in the UK that nobody stepped it. They just sat there like a bunch of muttered little boys.
More culturally enriching scenes in England's second largest city, Birmingham on Tuesday night. A man is chased onto a bus and stabbed to bits infront of passengers, he's been left with life changing injuries.

Keep running your mouth and you'll kill your businesses
And so the slaughter continues … Time for Zelensky to go

I miss the @elonmusk that used to excite us about the future more than the to sell C-class investors about his stock. In 2018-2019 his whole personality became about bid net worth and he lost his way.
Great illustration of why @grok @bot is winning me over. Phil's post reminded me how much effort I've put into trying to connect my Apple apps to other assistants My Grok Bot just... did it

This man is actively choosing to fall in the wrong side of history and play the victim. Guess he's going back to being a Dem. Too bad
Exactly! To be extremely clear, no matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals. I am simply stating that, without Starlink, the Ukrainian lines would collapse, as the Russians can jam all other communications! We would never do such a thing or use it as a bargaining chip.

Clearly Israeli teens have not been adequately, taught about the clear and present dangers of the environment around them. Blame Hamas. Or Isreal. Kids are dying because of asshole adults.

Now do Palestine
Replying to @KonstantinKisin
You’re losing credibility with this. Either Zelensky holds an election to prove that he represents the will of the people or he is a dictator.

Well said. The pro-Palestine movement has gone too far and is diving into genocidal discourse, the exact thing the pretend to be against.
I hope the images of Zohran Mamdani having people who claim to be pro-Palestine screaming at him in public and calling him a traitor for attending an October 7th vigil will finally wake people up to what I have been warning about for years.

Replying to @NYCMayor
Dear Mayor Mamdani, Every single innocent Palestinian who has died in Gaza is a tragedy, but to be morally consistent, you should solely blame Hamas, which waged this war in an attempt to annihilate Israel. Hamas is the real genocide-seeker: it wants to annihilate Israel but it can’t, while Israel could annihilate Gaza but chooses not to. The evil of Hamas and radical Islamists has reached New York City, and I pray you wake up before that evil gets out of control in your city. Make the morally correct decision and listen to those who know.

Why do I have a feeling you know Jews will be attacked tomorrow. This March is nothing but Bigoted intimidation and your police force is supporting it. I pray no one gets hurt but if they do their blood will be on your hands.

We have now imposed conditions on a second planned student demonstration on Wednesday, 7 October from 13:00hrs. Mindful of those likely to be attending synagogues in the area on this significant day, and to avoid serious disruption to the life of the community, the conditions require the event to move from Marble Arch to Russell Square: Anyone taking part in the ‘three years of genocide vigil and protest’ assembly must remain in the shaded area (Russell Square) on the map below. The event must conclude by 14:00hrs with participants required to disperse at this time. No one taking part may wear a face covering that conceals their identity. Anyone who breaches the conditions or commits offences faces arrest.

BREAKING: The Polish Embassy in Washington D.C. slams Tucker Carlson for distorting the truth about Nazi Germany’s invasion of Poland in 1939 and justifying it: “I’m outraged by the false and deeply troubling statements you made regarding the outbreak of the Second World War during your recent conversation with Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg. You justified Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939 claiming that "Hitler said 15% of Poland was once Germany and it was given to Poland at the Treaty of Versailles. That was German territory with Germans in it." This statement constitutes a colossal insult to the millions of victims of Nazism, including hundreds of thousands of American soldiers who had been killed or wounded while liberating Europe from the occupation by the Third Reich. Furthermore, your remark that "the UK had nothing to do with it at all" is also far from the historical truth. The declaration of war on Germany by the UK and France was not merely a political obligation of the allies. Had London and Paris not declared war on the Third Reich, they would have been attacked anyway. Hitler was driven by the idea of conquering the world and destroying all democratic states. As an American journalist who enjoys the democratic right to the freedom of speech, you have now become an apologist for Adolf Hitler. In doing so, you resort to lies, completely falsifying the documented historical record. Let me therefore remind you of the indisputable facts. Nazi Germany's attack on Poland on September 1st, 1939 was a meticulously planned and brutal war of aggression. Hitler's objective was the complete destruction of the Polish state and the physical extermination of its population, followed by a continued bloody conquest of the world. Hitler acted in collusion with another totalitarian criminal, Joseph Stalin. Together, they planned what is known as the fourth partition of Poland, set out in the secret protocol of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, which paved the way for the tragedy of millions of people in Central and Eastern Europe, including the near-total extermination of Europe's Jewish population. I demand that you immediately and publicly retract and apologize for these deceitful and disgraceful statements. Nazi propaganda cannot be rehabilitated under the guise of free speech, nor should the freedom of speech be used to desecrate the memory of the victims of the Second World War. History must not be distorted. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”

Protests have been sweeping France, with at least 400 schools fully or partially closed on Monday. Footage showed police charging with shields at a large crowd in Paris as protesters aimed fireworks in their direction. 🔗 trib.al/7OdLF30

This A-holr could have done a quick google search and found out that almost 1/5 Israelis are Muslims who live and work peacefully with the Jews. But let's be realistic he's just trying to Justify his bigotry.
There is nothing racist about any ethnic or religious group wanting their own homeland. The problem is if this desire is at the expense of another people. Zionism in practise meant "a homeland at the expense of Palestinians". It's really not hard to grasp this basic point!

#ES_F 7783 and 7764 provided good reactions overnight and remain key heading into RTH.
#ES_F Daily Plan | October 5 Friday’s true gap higher remained unfilled; however, the session lacked directional conviction and ultimately closed below its opening print. In the short term, I’m focused on two levels: Friday’s afternoon rally high at 7783, which aligns with last week’s VAH, and the base of Friday’s excess low at 7764. Reclaiming 7783 would be a short-term bullish development and open the door to a revisit of Friday’s high, while failure to defend 7764 would open the door to filling Friday’s gap at 7741. Smashlevel: 7764
