Wish I could've been at the Coliseum for Opening Day but there in spirit with @LastDiveBar and the @Oakland68s & thankful for their relentless effort to keep the A's community #RootedInOakland

Keep your Green and Gold where it belongs. In Oakland. Not Reno or SF.

Crickets so far from the Golden Knights, Raiders and Aces social media accounts on the approval of the A's relocation to Las Vegas.

Also curious all the silence from the Nevada politicians who voted in favor of SB1, given today's big A's news

Major League Baseball owners today approved the relocation of the #Athletics to Las Vegas. atmlb.com/AthleticsPressRele…
“I want to express my gratitude to the owners and Commissioner for their thoughtful deliberation and positive votes in favor of our relocation to Las Vegas. Today marks a significant moment for our franchise, and it’s met with mixed emotions - sadness for this change and excitement for our future. I know this is a hard day for our fans in Oakland. We made sincere efforts to keep our team in Oakland, but unfortunately, it did not work out. I am grateful to the fans who have supported our team throughout the years and the home Oakland provided. The storied history of our franchise includes three cities over the past century: Oakland, along with Kansas City and Philadelphia, will always be part of this franchise’s DNA. We are excited to begin this next chapter in Las Vegas. I want to thank the Las Vegas and Nevada community for welcoming us. We will continue to work hard to bring home more championships for our fans and for our new home in Vegas.”

John Fisher has owned the A’s for nearly 20 yrs. He: ▪️Hasn’t signed FAs ▪️Hasn’t re-signed A’s players ▪️Has watched the Coliseum rot ▪️Has refused to close a mere $80M diff. for a new park ▪️Has refused to go on camera to explain his decision Stop saying it’s Oakland’s fault

If John Fisher ever decides to sell, it may very well happen while the A's are still in Oakland. 🤞 usatoday.com/story/sports/ml…

Rob Manfred and MLB’s owners should feel shame. They either bought John Fisher’s con or they assisted in it. He purposefully orchestrated perceived apathy to line his pockets. Oakland is a good baseball market. A’s fans are a great fan base. This is all a scam.

Got a taste of living out a childhood dream by being at @TPIRLIVE! The theater was packed w/fans and it was a blast seeing the same pricing games and wheel as on TV. Even though I was never chosen to be the next contestant, I'm still glad I got to come on down and experience it. – at San Jose, CA

The one bummer was hearing them play "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang just prior to the start of the show, knowing that tomorrow, MLB owners will likely approve the relocation of the Oakland A's to Las Vegas 😕

John Fisher harping for 18 years until got what he wanted with an A's stadium after a lifetime of getting new things handed to him so that he wouldn't "feel passed over." 📷: "Falling Into the Gap" by Donald Fisher

John Fisher with the gall to paint himself as the bigger loser to Oakland A's fans — and Nevada politicians are more than happy to roll out the welcome mat for him.
