![In the Park Slope group on Facebook someone made this post about getting rid of thousands of books in Japanese. Read on for details… After 35 years, my parents are preparing to sell their two-family house in South Slope. First step is to donate and give away thousands of books, most in Japanese. My father was an avid reader and collector, and in the process amassed thousands of Japanese books, a language he taught himself to read in his forties. We have started to move these outside the house for anyone to take, although the rain is proving to be a challenge (see recycling bag solution below). Location is 461 18th Street between 8th & PPW All the books are in good to great condition. Some are already on the curb. Weather permitting, my family will put out more books on Sunday, September 25. Feel free to share with anyone who may be interested! (I have already contacted all the obvious places like Bookoff, Housing Works, Troubled Sleep, etc. but no shop [truncated for space]](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FdTH9LGWIAA-iMa.png?name=small&format=webp)
