It’s so funny (mostly in the absurd sense, but also sometimes in the ha-ha sense) how these people have made the claims and predictions of 80s and 90s rightwing religious pundits so clearly correct. An obvious woman dressed as a man forcing her way into a gay men’s choir alongside a man dressed as Sophia Petrillo. The degeneracy and perversion is undeniable. They think their march is a righteous civil rights frontier, direct action to force “society” to confront “cis-hetero-patriarchal normativity oppression”—but it’s made the degeneracy so clear that it’s been a major factor in my conversion from 20 years of atheism and leftism to Catholicism and moderate conservatism. The catalyzing event was the left’s response to Oct. 7. But the increasingly extreme gender ideology made me question the moral, ethical, and theological underpinnings of the entire political edifice.
