will we be able to run this locally? it's small enough to but I see no mention of open sourcing it or making the weights available

this is not a serious company
> be me > anthropic posters "u do not know how bad things will be" > anthropic: "u need to get serious about security" > ohshit.jpg better increase security > go to @AnthropicAI > try to enable 2fa > sorry we do not support 2fa ???

personally, I wish I had been significantly more irresponsible last year. the risk seems fairly low and the potential upside seems pretty significant

6K rig I bought last year is worth over 25 now. if you think the value of the gpus is going to increase, purchasing now could be a financial investment. if you add on the utility you can extract from it while you own it... not financial advice but that's my thought process

do you think that their value is going to go down?
how dumb would it be to drop $40K on GPUs really? obviously that sounds like insanity but at this point I genuinely believe I can get more value out of it than a car

most people don’t get how huge this is. not invalidating cache in the middle of a thread is amazing for usage. we’ve had it in the API and it’s now available in subs. one of the most impactful changes in these 28 days. more responsive calls for dots are sweet too Let’s go! 🔥

Day 19/ Small updates. Calls connect much faster for dots, changing reasoning in codex & work mid conversation does not invalidate cache anymore and a we've also updated the codex cli.

if you are judging "looks insane" by the quality standards of the last 20 years of human code, I would point you at the CVEs of the past week. Codex most certainly produces more code, frequently about testing and correctness. it looks a lot like the code I used to write when working on safety equipment to keep people from dying. not saying it's intuitive or ideal code, but I'm inclined to favor code that attempts to be correct over code that feels good to look at.
