What a critically important message for #supts and #schoolboards to hear & internalize. Leaders cannot fill from an empty bowl. Focus on #selfcare is not selfish; it’s essential for remaining present & maintaining attention on competing needs while serving in this complex role!
How do our 2024 regional superintendents of the year prioritize self care? Exercise, weekly date nights, community involvement, and quiet early mornings are just a few ways these outstanding district leaders stay focused! #LeadershipMatters
What a season! What a game! What a finish!! Congratulations to @UNCFieldHockey & @erinmatsonn for an incredible win and for showcasing this incredible sport which will hopefully gain a few million more fans!!

In districts with boards that are 75% or more female, nearly half (48%) of the Superintendents leading the District are women. Representation matters. When we have more more female leaders on school boards, we have more female superintendents.

Like my friend and #sistersupe @DrBarbaraMullen, I calendar them out for the week. And when I have to say no to something that conflicts with my scheduled workouts, I don’t feel guilty. I am sustaining myself to stay in this work. #FitLeaders
