The current Istanbul Mayor, and the likely opposition candidate for the next presidential election in Turkey was arrested a few hours ago. Turkey has slowed down access to multiple social media platforms. The Istanbul governor has prohibited "all kinds of meetings, demonstrations and press releases" for the upcoming 4 days. This comes at a time when the opposition party was about to hold a primary and likely elect Istanbul Mayor İmamoğlu as the party's candidate in the upcoming presidential election. Yesterday, in what İmamoğlu and his legal team are calling an illegal action, the İstanbul University revoked his diploma citing alleged irregularities in his school transfer in 1990. This decision, if upheld, would disqualify İmamoğlu from running for president.

GoFundMe published a fundraiser with an AI image, on Sunday evening, raising over $19k. The fundraiser claimed to be from a victim of the Michigan shooting. Which GoFundMe said they had verified. Later that day, the Sheriff’s Office revealed that the family named in the fundraiser were not victims of the shooting. While looking into the fundraiser, it was clear to me that the image was also an AI image. The mother's right hand has 6 fingers, and her left hand is positioned awkwardly. The small boy on the right has 4 fingers, and the right shoulder of the boy in the middle seems to have an abrupt cut. A GoFundMe spokesperson later telling ABC News, "We have removed the fundraiser from the platform, none of the funds were released to the fundraiser organizer, and all donors have been refunded." Adding that "The fundraiser violated Term 2 under the Prohibited Conduct section (prohibiting "fundraisers that are fraudulent, misleading, inaccurate, dishonest or impossible)"
