Your Ward Councillor’s role doesn’t start and end at just reporting potholes or broken streetlights. Your Ward Councillor will vote to sell land in Cape Town. They will vote to increase rates in Cape Town. They will vote for policies that make Cape Town unaffordable.

It’s why I have always said if I were a woman, and I’m told to also contribute financially, while the man still has the expectation I do most of the daily home management, I will just assume he sees me as a fool! Regardless, it’s the statistical reality of most working wives.
