your father knows your origins. of all his seeds, he planted you inside your mother, but by way of a wry cosmic joke, his knowledge of you recedes & recedes till what remains is a large shadow. he will come around wanting to know you again, but one stranger will be heading home.

Today we are announcing that S&P Global has entered an agreement to acquire OpenZeppelin.
Onchain finance is growing from an emerging market into core financial infrastructure, and the standards and rails our team and community built are becoming the rails of global finance. OpenZeppelin smart contracts facilitated over $37 trillion in value transferred, with the vast majority of the largest DeFi protocols, blockchain networks, stablecoins and tokenized funds relying on them.
With S&P Global, we expect to accelerate the impact of onchain finance, backed by more than a century of trust in global markets, benchmarks, and risk frameworks.
To our clients and to all the users of OpenZeppelin open source tools:
⢠OpenZeppelin Contracts and all our open source applications and tools remain open source, free, and publicly maintained on GitHub. Building open source standards stays a core priority.
⢠Audits, engineering work, and ecosystem programs continue with the same team, brand, quality, and customer experience, with what will be the added benefit of S&P Global's research capacity, market data, and institutional reach.
For the last decade, OpenZeppelin has set the security standard for onchain finance. Today begins a new chapter for that mission, together with one of the most trusted names in global markets.

1inch was born at a hackathon. Backing builders is part of the DNA.
The Aqua Incubator, funded by the 1inch DAO, pays teams to ship new strategies on Aqua: up to $50K each, milestone-based, $436K allocated. The first team is already approved.
Build something the space actually needs.

I have no horse in this race, but projects really need to move away from the mentality that a chain has to fund or promote them for them to succeed.
Yes, chains have handed millions to projects that later burned through the money. But reducing a projectās failure to not getting enough āloveā or āfundingā from the chains is way too dismissive.
Did Hyperliquid succeed because Arbitrum promoted it? No. Arbitrum heavily supported GMX and plenty of other projects too. The same goes for all the stablecoins, DEXs, and SocialFi projects that chains have funded and promoted over the years.
Funding and ecosystem support can help, but they canāt create product-market fit. Without a clear business case, real demand, and a reason for users to stay, the project is likely dead anyway.
Did the Solana Foundation just kill one of its own protocols?
FlashTrade is about to shut down
Their founder gave 3 reasons
The most interesting one: burnout, partly caused by the Foundation heavily backing Phoenix as Solanaās flagship perps product
Meanwhile, protocols like FlashTrade and Bulk received far less love
The uncomfortable truth is that Phoenix is simply a better fit for the Foundation
Its order book, trading engine and market makers all operate onchain, generating significantly more activity for Solana
FlashTrade also runs on Solana but relies on oracle prices and pooled liquidity. It requires fewer onchain interactions, making Solana primarily the settlement layer
From a marketing perspective, pooling resources on one potential Hyperliquid competitor may also make more sense than supporting several smaller protocols...
Itās brutal for builders, but Solana probably needs one clear winner in perps..
Still, every protocol can get "king made" if the tech is good enough
1inch Network has added 10M 1INCH tokens in incentives for LPs on 1inch Aqua, with a further 500k USDC boost from the 1inch DAO.
And weāre launching with @BNBCHAIN as our first co-incentive partner.
The 1inch Network incentives run for 3 months through @merkl_xyz: 5M 1INCH in volume rewards and 5M 1INCH in partner co-incentives. Every swap your positions fill earns you swap fees, plus a share of the 1INCH campaign rewards based on the volume you handle. More volume, more rewards.
Available across 80+ 1INCH markets.
Liquidity providers: itās time to wake up.
Use 1inch Aqua to find more activity in more markets, without letting your tokens out of your wallet.
Risk-controlled execution meets full self-custody.
No, you arenāt dreaming.

In Tokyo, Compound Foundation's Partnerships Lead @DooWanNam joined @OndoFinance, @AssetoFinance, and @DigiFTTech for @HSKChain's panel on what it takes to bring institutional finance onchain.
Doo noted that RWA onboarding and institutional adoption are gaining real momentum, with strong security and risk management the key to bringing institutions onchain at scale.
Thanks to @HSKChain for hosting and the panelists for a great conversation.

Most people think governance means voting.
I think itās closer to steering a ship.
Direction. Power. Resources. Information. Accountability. Course correction.
Thatās why Iām launching KybernĆ”Å: a publication on how DAOs, grant programs, startup cities, AI projects, and emerging institutions are actually steered.
