I've said this for decades.
From in the field, at the plate, and in the clubhouse, he modeled for them what it took to be a winner.
A Top 3 alltime Brave for me.

October is Cooperative Month.
Here are some of our folks, representing the counties they reside in and we serve, going over the 7 Cooperative Principles.
#CooperativeMonth
THIS!
- First-year pressure after missing the postseason last year
- 3/5 of the 2026 projected starting rotation injured all year
- Profar suspended again
- Constant Acuña injuries
- Worst season of Riley’s career
- Kim was the worst player in MLB history at one point
- Revolving door at catcher
- Suarez goes down
- Just 9 wins in June.
Yet: 92+ wins, NL East champs, never once gave up the division lead & a top-5 combined ERA in baseball.
Walt Weiss (MLB leader in tackles this season) should be Manager of the Year
Never gets the credit it should in having a GREAT theme song/intro.
🚔📺Anyone remember Sheriff Lobo?
Claude Akins first introduced the scheming, corrupt sheriff of Orly County on ‘B.J. and the Bear.’ The character proved popular enough that NBC spun him off into his own series that fall, premiering September 18, 1979.
The show followed a slightly reformed Lobo and his deputies, Birdie (Brian Kerwin) and Perkins (Mills Watson), as they fumbled their way through small-town law enforcement, with scams, shortcuts and plenty of chaos along the way

🚨On a Boston-to-LA flight in August 2001, James Woods observed four middle eastern men acting strange and told a flight attendant, "I think these guys are going to hijack this plane."
The FBI later confirmed the 9/11 hijackers ran summer cross country trial runs, Woods positively identified those hijackers. 🇺🇸⬇️
