It’s interesting how much people suddenly care about cheating in school. Research from @StanfordEd shows that the level of cheating in US high schools hasn't changed with the intro of generative AI tools.
Moral of story: cheating is a cultural issue not a technological one.

Ector County Commissioners voted to move the Ector County Library into the future. Based on recommendations from the Library Advisory Committee, the Commissioners decided to move forward with a new Library building which will be located at 3rd and Texas in Downtown Odessa.
Estimates to complete the total project are just above $58 million., including all new furnishings and technology. . #TheLibraryWeDeserve @EctorCoLibrary
The 54,000 square-foot building will house a state-of-the-art public library, separate children and teen areas, meeting and gathering spaces open to the public, and will include a new Hispanic Heritage area.
The project will be funded through a Public Private Partnership (P3), which means it will be provided to the citizens with no tax increase.

Proposition 9 is a Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) for a majority of retired educators and public school employees (those receiving Teacher Retirement System annuities).
Prop 8 will create the Broadband Infrastructure Fund, releasing $1.5 bil in state funds to the Texas Comptroller to support broadband. This is not a new tax; these funds have already been set aside by the Legislature, but they can't be used without voter approval. #Prop8
