I am Politically āUnHousedā.
I am a Conservative. I have been my entire life. Iāve been voting for 33 years and have never flirted with the left. They just simply do not hold the same values as I.
This will be only the second time in my voting life where I will abstain. The first was in Alberta when it was a foregone conclusion that King Ralph was about to win a 3rd term. Right or wrong, as a younger man I didnāt think it was that big of a deal to not cast a vote.
The unnecessary election called by David Eby in 2026 will be the second time I will abstain.
But not because it looks like he cruising to victory. Because I am politically homeless or dare I say, unhoused š§š
The Conservative Party of BC that I began volunteering for in 2022 began with those values and ideals that I hold true.
But sadly over time, the party was infected by leftists let in by the very people that pretended to espouse those same Conservative values.
So I left the party and resigned my seat on the board after witnessing first hand the lengths of corruption the CPBC would go to, to ensure the changes they wanted at the AGM would take place. They did this by bussing in 150 south Asian men to vote as delegates in ridings they knew nothing about. Something apparently known as āIndo-Packingā.
After a short time away from politics I was inched back after Dallas, Tara and Jordan all left the CPBC. There was this new opportunity forming that seemed to bring with it my sense of belonging on the political right. Unfortunately, that was short lived and the party imploded in on itself driven by a certain amount of egomania.
That is a party that I canāt and wonāt support as I view them no differently than the CPBC. The only difference is that OneBC actually knows where they stand on the spectrum. Regardless of where they stand, our values do not align.
I learned a long time ago that if you are in a values misalignment in any kind of relationship be it business, personal or political, it will never work no matter how much you compromise. Resentment will build and youāll eventually be forced to a decision.
So here I sit.
Politically homeless for the first time in my voting life.
I would rather not cast a vote than have to hold my nose and vote for a party for the sole reason that they are not the NDP.
My values mean more to me than that.
Looking forward to this maniac having to eat his words.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government canāt selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But thatās exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, itās important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administrationās fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone ā all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And itās not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies ā from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omarās life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and sheās been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omarās political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, thereās no reason to believe it will stop with her ā or that future presidents, in either party, wonāt do the same.
Time to bring this back

Hey @richardzussman remember when I said that you and the government were lying about DRIPA and how it affects property rights in BC? Well, how do you explain this? A secret plan to hand over 400 parcels of land to Indian Bands in BC and to rewrite laws to cover tracks?
Docs labeled āconfidentialā just 2 weeks before snap elxn show @bcndp has committed to hand over 400 parcels of Crown land to First Nations, and craft a law to limit compensation to forest companies for loss of logging rights.

BC should treat Eby the same as Ilhan Omar and deport him back to Ontario where he belongs! #deporteby #bcpoli
Hate to say itā¦unless @LDoerkson has some kind of banger up his sleeve, heās going to lose this debate.
Why is it so fkn Canadian to be so polite?? Come on man! Go for the jugular. What have you got to lose!! #bcpoli
David Eby doesnāt lie awake at night.
That would imply that the vampire actually sleeps. #bcpoli
Doerksen is allowing Eby to tie the Libs to the Cons. He has not corrected him once.
Why? Because, (it pains me to say this) heās fkn right. There is no difference. Ffs. There used to be. #bcpoli
Ebyās ONLY SOLUTION is to raise taxes!! Fuck that. There needs to be cuts. There needs to be belt tightening. There needs to be tax cuts. There needs to be a plan to attract businesses back to BC! He offers none of that! #bcpoli
Eby is smug, indignant and an asshole.
Doerksen needs to go for the throat.
Honestly, who cares about Lowan.
None of these three are public speakers, painful to watch. Eby makes my ears bleeeeeeed!
