I've been a press secretary too. We all make mistakes, but I never lied for my boss and he never asked me to lie. That's when you quit. xitter.cf/AriFleischer/status/82…

The blue tsunami: What next for Trump?

The ad was an x-ray of Vivek's rotten moral center.
He has no soul, and that's what the people in Ohio are seeing here at the end.

Last night Trump said he could have won Vietnam in a week. His plan was “going after Ho Chi Minh City.”
Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Our ally. The enemy’s capital was Hanoi. We bombed it.
He called the presidents who fought that war stupid, then explained how he’d have won it by attacking our own side.
58,220 Americans died in that war. Trump got five deferments. Now he’s telling the rest of us how easy it would have been.
He’s had more than fifty years to learn which side we were on. He still hasn’t. That alone should disqualify him from sending anybody else’s kids to war.
Instead, he’s weighing more strikes on Iran after Tuesday. His administration has reportedly considered using the “mother of all bombs,” the one he calls “like a tiny nuclear bomb.”
The man who thinks we should have bombed our ally’s capital gets to choose the targets.
To a crowd of Villanova and Notre Dame fans attending a Papal audience in Rome, Pope Leo announced that the “Pope will not take sides” before Sunday’s basketball game between the two colleges. On the other hand, he says “Prevost has another opinion.” You gotta love this guy.

Republican Party in 2026: not at all offended about being compared to Saddam Hussein, but dying on the hill that the WH should look like a Cheesecake Factory.
Donald Trump will not rest until 10 year-old James Comey pays for his crime of killing and hiding the body of Jimmy Hoffa. You’ve got to admire a commitment to justice like that.
For the record, lecturing an Augustinian Pope on the meaning of the Just War theory first promulgated by St. Augustine is not going to end well. 🤦♂️

From India to Canada to the Middle East to Europe, countries no longer know whether they can trust America.
The consequences could be disastrous.
My take:
In the face of unspeakable cruelty and incompetence by the Trump administration, President Obama tells it like it is. #Midterms2026
Barack Obama was speaking in support of Democratic candidates at a campaign rally in Ohio ahead of the midterm elections when he targeted Donald Trump's record as US President.
The former president said the Trump administration displayed 'incompetence, the likes of which we have not seen in modern times'.

NEW: An order of New York nuns founded in 1817 has rebuked the bishops who laid hands on President Trump 12 days before the midterms.
“Images carry messages,” the Sisters of Charity wrote. “Silence carries messages, too.”
The nuns have a powerful ally in Pope Leo XIV, who has put women at the center of his leadership. They now run three Vatican dicasteries, a larger share than in Trump’s cabinet. thelettersfromleo.com/p/new-…

Trump and the GOP have been working hard to keep this video from being reposted on social media. Repost it, keep it alive. Too many people aren't paying attention to who Donald Trump is.
He's a liar, and by his own words, he must be held accountable.🤥

NEW: The man who organized Thursday’s Oval Office prayer with 12 Catholic bishops resigned as a university dean in 2022 after faculty accused him of misrepresenting his education and called him a “con artist.”
A senior Vatican official told me the gathering was “a highly inappropriate meeting and an insult to Pope Leo.”
Archbishop Paul Coakley, president of the U.S. bishops’ conference, was “deeply frustrated” by the meeting, a source close to him told The Pillar. thelettersfromleo.com/p/heri…

“A family from Mexico arrives this morning legally, has as much right to the American Dream as the direct descendants of the Founding Fathers.” — Bob Dole, accepting the Republican nomination, August 15, 1996
Along with Pope Leo, Washington’s Cardinal Robert McElroy is a man of uncommon decency and faith. It was my privilege to serve beside him for nearly 10 years. This clip from a recent homily will show you why. instagram.com/reel/DezGekBRq…

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…
