In 1998, my village in The Gambia watched the World Cup on a black-and-white television. Even the shirt colors didn't match the pitch.
I've been thinking about that screen this week, which is Global Media and Information Literacy Week (October 24–31). It's also TTPI's first since we were founded in August.

This article covers:
• where the week came from, from the 1982 Grunwald Declaration to the UN resolution
• the U.S. #Midterms26 on November 3
• The #Gambia's presidential election on December 5
• The Truth Protocol, the toolkit behind our work
There's also a free one-page guide, “Five checks before you share election news.” Take it, share it, and add your own.
