ALT Coastal flooding is expected along the Pacific Coast of Washington Wednesday and Thursday. Higher tides in addition to weather systems coming in can make coastal flooding worse than it would be without a storm on top of it. Coastal flooding can cause erosion of the beach, bluffs, roads and other infrastructure. Never turn your back on the ocean, stay off of jetties and the immediate coast, never drive through floods and make sure to follow and respect all warning signs and barriers. They are there to keep you safe.
