Pope Francis wrote this in the Hospital.
“The walls of hospitals have heard more honest prayers than churches...
They have witnessed far more sincere kisses than those in airports...
It is in hospitals that you see a homophobe being saved by a gay doctor.
A privileged doctor saving the life of a beggar...
In intensive care, you see a Jew taking care of a racist...
A police officer and a prisoner in the same room receiving the same care...
A wealthy patient waiting for a liver transplant, ready to receive the organ from a poor donor...
It is in these moments, when the hospital touches the wounds of people, that different worlds intersect according to a divine design. And in this communion of destinies, we realize that alone, we are nothing.
The absolute truth of people, most of the time, only reveals itself in moments of pain or in the real threat of an irreversible loss.
A hospital is a place where human beings remove their masks and show themselves as they truly are, in their purest essence.
This life will pass quickly, so do not waste it fighting with people.
Do not criticize your body too much.
Do not complain excessively.
Do not lose sleep over bills.
Make sure to hug your loved ones.
Do not worry too much about keeping the house spotless.
Material goods must be earned by each person—do not dedicate yourself to accumulating an inheritance.
You are waiting for too much: Christmas, Friday, next year, when you have money, when love arrives, when everything is perfect...
Listen, perfection does not exist.
A human being cannot attain it because we are simply not made to be fulfilled here.
Here, we are given an opportunity to learn.
So, make the most of this trial of life—and do it now.
Respect yourself, respect others. Walk your own path, and let go of the path others have chosen for you.
Respect: do not comment, do not judge, do not interfere.
Love more, forgive more, embrace more, live more intensely!
And leave the rest in the hands of the Creator.”
—Pope Francis

There is no evidence to suggest this was written by Pope Francis. The verses contain lines from other works and have circulated before claiming to be written by others. newtral.es/definicion-hos…

Many people stagnate trying to change what they can't instead of growing by changing what they can.
We don't control how others treat us—we control how we treat them. We don't decide what happens to us—we decide how we respond.
Our reputation is not up to us. Our character is.
Hey @Mainstreethfx where’s Jeff Douglas? Heard a rumour he was pulled off the air due to the ‘I am Canadian’ piece he did. Hoping that’s not the case.

BREAKING: Justin Trudeau is specifically asked if he believes that Trump's tariffs are an Act of War.
His answer is tremendous.
"Canadians are not angry at the American people for this. We don’t have anything against Americans. Americans are our neighbors, our friends, our partners. We do things together, we’ve done things together for decades and generations. This is a policy decision by the American government (Donald Trump), designed to go after the Canadian economy. This is a trade war — yes. But Canadians are hurt, Canadians are angry. We’re going to choose to not go on vacation to Florida or Old Orchard Beach or wherever. We’re gonna choose to try to buy Canadian products and forgo bourbon and other classic American products. We’re probably going to continue booing the American National Anthem. But let me tell Americans — we’re not booing you, we’re not booing your teams, we’re not booing your players -- we’re booing a policy that is designed to hurt us."
How can anyone view Trump as the good guy in this Trade war?

This is important.
Thinking the unthinkable: With @CDCgov webpages going dark & research funding getting slashed, scientists are beginning to fear for the integrity of key databases maintained by the @NLM_NIH, databases that are of "incalculable importance." statnews.com/2025/02/10/genb…

“I don’t know” is not an admission of ignorance. It’s an expression of intellectual humility.
“I was wrong” is not a confession of failure. It’s a display of intellectual integrity.
“I don’t understand” is not a sign of stupidity. It’s a catalyst for intellectual curiosity.

Hi, I’m Charlotte, and this is a picture of my brother, Miles, and me. 💕
We were always the best of friends. Miles was my protective older brother, and I appreciated him so much, especially as I faced life with generalized anxiety disorder and then brain cancer.
We always thought we’d grow old together, knowing each other longer than we knew our parents. But life had other plans.
I died on February 24, 2016, just five days after my 19th birthday. My brother was only 21. Now, he doesn’t have me anymore, and he’s an only child.
Did you know?
🧠 Brain cancer kills more under-40s than any other cancer.
💰 Brain cancer receives the smallest amount of funding compared to other cancers.
🎗 Glioblastoma, the type of tumor I had, is Grade 4 and has no cure.
In my name, Mum and my brother started a charity that works directly with King’s College London in a lab named after me. 💜
Every penny you donate goes directly to research—100%. Mum and Miles self-fund everything else.
I may not be here anymore, but I’m still trying to raise awareness. If you could RT or donate, I would be so grateful. It would mean the world to me not to be forgotten.
Thank you for helping me make a difference. 🌟
