Here is the thing to understand about flattening the curve.
It only works if we take necessary measures before they seem necessary.
And if it works, people will think we over-reacted.
We have to be willing to look like we over-reacted.

5 leadership lessons from legendary rugby player Sam Whitelock
Sam Whitelock just retired from rugby. He was the fastest player to reach 100 tests, the most capped All Black ever, the 1st men’s player to compete in 3 World Cup finals. 5 leadership lessons from the man himself:

A minute of wisdom from champion coach Robbie Deans, in response to the question, “How do you personally know when you’re doing a good job?”
Kia ora @MetService genuine question: can you help me understand these infographics? The red triangle is a "watch" upper left but a "red warning" on the map, while the green circle is a "red warning" upper left but an "all clear" on the map... Help!
Any fit outdoorsy types somewhere near Punakaiki who are free today and feel like a trail run? Partner and kids camping up the Pororari River, have been there since last Friday and so are unaware of the rain warning. They are experienced campers and do have a beacon
Thank you for sharing @leemathias7. Also grateful for anyone in the region who can give me on-the-ground conditions!

It is very hard to understand what exactly the COP presidency was thinking today releasing this draft of the key stone Global Stock Take GST text.
Given the positive atmosphere leading up to the release of this text, it feels as if he has set a match to burn 🔥 his own COP Presidency down just as it has begun.
And the absence of UNFCCC Exec Sec. Simon Stiell from this afternoons interrupted plenary suddenly makes a lot more sense.
Apparently we have Bolivia to thank for this glimpse of grace amid the morass of greed associated with efforts to disrupt and render all the work done to get to today in Dubai worthless. #cop28
Looking forward to this conversation with @Ike_Saul from @TangleNews
Next week, @TangleNews Editor-in-Chief @Ike_Saul joins Boma CEO @kcolbin to discuss the Israel-Hamas War: what’s happening in Gaza, why, and where we might go from here.
This Impact Session, co-hosted by Boma and @NZStuff, is open to everyone. RSVP: bit.ly/4a2r222
For authors turning their books into GPTs... I don't want contextual conversations with my books. I want to give myself over to the book entirely, let the author take me on a wild ride. I want to trust the story to unfold in a way that I cannot predict and don't need to control.
If you want to be fully grossed out by a robot picking a seed out of a strawberry, watch this with the sound on and don't say I didn't warn you
This is the best thing I've read in ages. These men are true heroes😂
Men - constantly doing small things to help the household and getting no recognition? Today's the day to put that right.
Tweet one awesome achievement using the hashtag #UffingIt so we can all give you the appreciation you truly deserve
