JADCO Chairperson Debby Ann Brown Salmon has confirmed with TVJ Sports that the whereabouts case involving Olympic and World Champion hurdler Omar McLeod remains ongoing, but declined to divulge details.
The confirmation comes twelve days after TVJ first broke news that McLeod had been notified of a whereabouts Anti-Doping Rule Violation.
He is understood to have missed one test, in addition to two filing failures, within a 12-month period between 2025 and 2026.
McLeod has remained silent on the matter. Salmon and JADCO are hosting Sports Minister of the Cayman Islands Isaac Rankine as Jamaica looks to offer assistance as they establish their own National Anti-Doping Organisation.
French Olympic 100-metre hurdles silver medallist Cyrena Samba-Mayela has been provisionally suspended for an alleged whereabouts violation, the @aiu_athletics (AIU) confirmed on Friday.
Under @wada_ama rules athletes who accumulate three whereabouts failures, through missed tests, filing failures or a combination of both, within a 12 month period can be charged with an anti-doping rule violation which carries a ban of up to two years.
Samba-Mayela has not competed since July and later withdrew from the European Championships in Birmingham due to a calf injury.
Dozens of lawsuits have been filed against the companies behind popular GLP-1 drugs Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound, claiming the drugs led to a rare type of vision loss.

Jamaican Olympic and World Championship 110-metre hurdles gold medallist Omar Mcleod is facing the possibility of a two-year ban from the sport for a whereabouts anti-doping rule violation, according to impeccable TVJ sources, who've spoken on condition of not being named.
The sources revealed that national record holder with 12.90 seconds, who has not competed this season, missed one test in addition to having two filing failures in a 12-month period between 2025 and 2026.
It's understood that McLeod missed the test in question in Europe, where he had been training.
However, it is further understood that mcleod who was notified of the anti-doping rule violation, is yet to indicate whether he plans to challenge the finding.
Under WADA rules, athletes who form part of a Registered Testing Pool are required to submit detailed whereabouts information on a quarterly basis, including their home address, contact details, overnight accommodation, regular activities and competition schedules.
They also need to provide a daily one-hour window when they must be available for testing out-of-competition.
Failure to file accurate whereabouts information or to be present and accessible during that window can result in a "missed test" or filing failure, and three such violations within a 12-month period can constitute a whereabouts failure, or Anti-Doping Rule Violation, under the WADA Code.
