Ironic considering that SD was one of 6 states granted statehood in 1889-1890 for that exact reason [but reversed to favor republicans].
It’s also the reason why the Dakotas entered as separate states...
The Founding Fathers never intended for Washington D.C. to be a state.
#DCStatehood is really about packing the Senate with Democrats in order to pass a left-wing agenda.
