I saw a skit yesterday that really bothered me. @_thetrenchboy made a “skit” where he played the role of an elder brother to a young boy bringing home friends from JAMB lessons (girls). Attracted to them, he sent his brother away, played sexually explicit Spartacus scenes in front of the girls, and acted creepy while watching with them.
When the younger brother returned and confronted him, he invented a “game” to lure one girl into the bathroom to sexually exploit her.
People watched, laughed, liked the video, and saw nothing wrong.
Do we not understand that exposing people to sexually explicit content without consent can be sexual harassment? That deliberately luring a girl into a bathroom under false pretences for a sexual encounter is neither harmless nor funny?
He had them wear revealing clothes to justify it in his degenerate skit, but most girls writing JAMB are under 18, minors.
Why are we comfortable turning the sexual harassment and potential exploitation of young girls into comedy?
This is how rape culture and pedophilia thrive. We package predatory behaviour as entertainment, laugh, reward it with engagement, and call it harmless fun because it’s “just a skit.”
Tomorrow, when Nigerian men are convicted abroad for rape and child sexual abuse, everyone expresses shock. But what attitudes are we cultivating when we treat content depicting the sexual harassment of potentially underage girls as comedy?

A man killed his ex girlfriend for leaving him and you people concluded that she cheated after eating his money, just for it to be proven that he was actually the one cheating.
A house maid poisoned a baby and you people concluded that the family maltreats the girl, just for it to be proven that she only started work the day before.

Story: Prominent Anti-EndSars protest leader, Yunusa Yusuf pka. Italics, reportedly dies in an Abuja hotel room, days after lodging with side-chic, Ruth.
On Sept. 8th, Yunusa checked into a hotel around Karu-Jikwoyi, FCT. All through his stay, he only demanded alcohol, declining meals.
Last week on the morning of his death. The lady he had lodged with, Ruth, said she noticed he was detiorating and decided to get him energy drink to boost his energy.
He took the energy drink and collapsed in minutes. Many described it as a coma. Almost instantly he was rushed to a nearby hospital, there he was pronounced dead.
He was 47 years old and served as the Senior Senior Special Assistant on Community Development to the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu.
He gained popularity in 2020, when he led a counter protest against the EndSars protest. When he earned the name “Italics” due to his unique physique.
Italics, would be laid to rest on September 16th 2025, at ECWA Church, Kpaduma 1, FCT. His boss, describes him as a loyal and dedicated civil servant.

I saw someone write something about “The Pope passing” but it was satire. Something about him leaving ICU and all. But just for a split second before I got that it was a joke, I caught myself saying out loud “how will something like this happen and God didn’t gist me?” I panicked for a little bit. Not just because I thought the pope passed, but something else. Something of this magnitude and God didn’t talk about it?
Ah! I’m done for!
