It was an absolute pleasure to work with the enthusiastic students of @csmMANE , thanks for having me!
This week we got together for a rapid, hands-on interaction design wrkshp with our fab @csmresearch #PhD student, @katrin__ho! Katrin’s research explores how to foster democratic systems w/ the design of #ParticipatoryDigitalArtefacts in the public realm. instagram.com/p/CWZENaSMONJ/

Iceland has the best marketing team and I really want to go now
Some said an open-world experience this immersive wasn’t possible. But it’s already here. And you don’t even need silly VR headsets. Introducing, ✨Icelandverse✨ #icelandverse

“University managers are playing fantasy football with the institution: they know nothing about how it actually works and spend their time obsessing about data that are poorly collected and badly interpreted.” @UWankings @TspWissenschaft @HRK_aktuell nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

Starting a PhD: I’m going to change the world! Doing a PhD: okay, how can I make this even smaller so that it’s just about feasible to finish in the next 3 years…

Why are we are on strike ? THIS👇👇 👇👇👇#RCAStrike #solidarity
Yikes…
The saddest thing you'll see today is, once again, brought to you by Christie's.
The lecturers and technicians at RCA always go above and beyond to support their students and deserve utmost respect and gratitude, which the RCA has not given to them. It’s high time for drastic systemic change
Readying for our 14 day strike with our press team. Let's hope @RCA can address the issues of bogus self employed / worker contracts, casualisation & workload or this is just the beginning. They need to understand these effect marginalised groups hardest! architectsjournal.co.uk/news…

By making all CHS lecturers reapply for their job the @RCA is breaking agreements, union-busting, devaluing critical thinking and disregarding access, equity and inclusion. Please sign & share this letter of support and agree to boycott the RCA #boycottRCA bit.ly/3776TIP

Today, @officestudents confirmed that arts courses in English universities will have their subsidies slashed by 50% This is an unconscionable attack which will force courses to close, restrict access and undermine the huge contribution creative arts make to society

Independent tool makers appreciation thread 💜🛠💻🧵 Let's send some love to the individuals (or tiny teams) who tirelessly create and maintain the tools that enable our #creativeCoding 🥰 This will be far from a complete list so please add your favorite indie tool makers! 🙏🏻

Why does revisiting an old design project always feel like entering a bombsite (mostly my fault for not cleaning up when I should have)
4-7 are easier to execute than 1-3 Avoiding Chrome and using 'a reasonable' number of tabs? A hot MacBook it is, then.
The @rca doesn't care about its staff or students. But we ARE the university. They are nothing but a badly organised managerial framework without us. Time for @pwthompson_RCA to resign. theguardian.com/education/20…
I still remember when my project was thrown away when we’ve been told that it was ‘safe to store it in the room over the summer’ - and how other peers lost their projects as well. Just proof that the current RCA doesn’t care and isn’t willing to learn. theguardian.com/education/20…

I love the fact that Count Binface is currently on 9th place out of 20 (if this election is not an eye-opener, though, then frankly, I don’t know what is)

I have so much respect for designers who can’t rapidly iterate designs because it needs to render/print/etc. just the amount of patience to wait HOURS until you can see the outcome (not to mention how much slower it must have been years ago)
When starting a task: ‘Oh yeah, I should be done in an hour - easy!’ (5 hours later) ‘Why is this colour off?? And where the hell is this flippin’ file god damnit...’
Example why technology literacy is so important, but also to design tech in ways which can be intuitively utilised and embedded into our existing infrastructure (but Teams is user hostile anyways...)
