I recommend muting and playing Angelo Badalamenti music to this.
This guy survived a drone strike at the animal shelter in Odesa. His fur is singed, but he was still purring away. 🥹 The Hachiko team brought Olga, who runs the Loving Hearts shelter, food & supplies—and we will help her rebuild the cat sanctuary.

Very honored that my last story for @washingtonpost, which published after I was laid off, won Le @PrixBayeux. It detailed the terrifying journey of a soldier trapped in the kill zone for 177 days. Was so glad to accept it in person with Anastacia Galouchka and Serhii Korolchuk.
how is this real? the person who openly supported genocide? and this is your reporting @consequence? no consequences for russians, I guess
I'm so glad that I titrated this episode over the past week from hell because it truly saved my brain. Also, I will famously take Interpol and The Walkmen (hi @ChrisRyan77) over The Strokes any day of the week (not sorry)
New episode on @Interpol the sharply-dressed, lyrically enigmatic, musically enduring owners of 200 couches with my special guest the legendary Ultragrrrl aka Sarah Lewitinn. The subway she IS a porno:

what does Ukraine have to do with the US energy prices? (nothing)
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is on a collision course with President Trump, who is increasingly looking at Kyiv’s battle against Russia primarily through the lens of energy prices ahead of the US midterm elections. Read more: bloom.bg/4jhWi4i

Moments ago, Russian forces bombed a residential neighborhood in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, hitting a grocery store.
Three people lost their lives, and nine others, including two children, sustained injuries.
Imagine how bad it is in reality if even FOX news tell the truth for once
Brian @kilmeade: “It would be the biggest mistake of his administration to work with Russia. Putin is the modern Hitler of our generation. He is the cause of all the problems in the region, and now he's helping Iran kill our guys and blow up our bases.“

Trump announces an energy ceasefire. Ukrainians learn about it from social media. Immediately, there are more Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
The president lives in a fantasy world of his own construction

After President Trump announced an immediate energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, President Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had not been informed beforehand.
Russia has since struck a pair of Ukrainian power plants in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

The signals from the Trump administration are clearer than ever: Putin is allowed to keep killing Ukrainians
What allowing Russia to sell oil products means was heard most clearly in Kyiv just now, when, after repeated attacks on energy facilities with jet-powered “shaheds,” Russia launched a ballistic missile attack as well. Some of the missiles were intercepted. This once again clearly demonstrates Russia’s true intentions. They count on prolonging the war, terrorizing ordinary people, and destroying infrastructure.
Every additional billion dollars they can earn from exports will be spent on nothing but sourcing and importing critical components and equipment to manufacture weapons, upgrading “shaheds,” producing missiles, and recruiting even more mercenaries to fight at the front. Russia’s choice is war. And they will be ready to end it only when they feel that their ability to drag the war out is diminishing.
Unfortunately, the signals Russia received yesterday were entirely different – signals suggesting that it could simply keep attacking. And this needs to be corrected. Strong signals are needed from the United States, Europe, and other partners – signals in support of Ukraine and to RESTRICT Russia’s ability to wage war and terrorize people. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

saturday morning in my native city Zaporizhzhia starts with digging killed children from under rubble. three so far, many are missing. russians pulverized an entire apartment block with guided bombs and bombed several others, mass murdering entire families sleeping inside. murdering sleeping kids in their beds is great russian culture.
The Loving Hearts animal shelter in Odesa was bombed by a jet-powered drone. This is what’s left of the building where 50 cats lived—at least 10 cats & 3 dogs were killed, with many still missing. We’re going to help them recover & could use your support 🙏 hachikofoundation.org/donate

This isn't a licence to export diesel. It's a licence to keep killing Ukrainians.

The United States government is now a funder of state sponsored terrorism.
I know that sounds political and hyperbolic, but it is factually true. Russia is intentionally targeting civilians in Ukraine at scale, and Trump is intentionally funding their efforts.
