Listening to @laurenfleshman 's book and feeling sad for the bullsh*t that young Lauren believed about food and performance.
And then it hit me, I'm also sad for the bullish*t young me believed about weight & my value. This system must break for the next generation of women.
As a former pro-life supporter, I remember the day everything changed.
I was out running and saw a family standing outside a church protesting abortion.
The whole family, including the young children, were holding hateful signs. Their eyes were angry.
It's easy for churches to advocate for the unborn.
They don't have to reallocate their budgets for youth group summer camps and senior choir tours to supporting people who don't 'belong'.
I still can't get over the fact that the lady working the @WholeFoods hot bar today told me I had to put on gloves to WALK through the hot bar area.
She acted liked I was walking around with a positive COVID test sneezing on the food in the hot bar instead of walking through it with both hands holding my basket right by my body.
Of all the stores, I really thought @WholeFoodsPR cared about the environment and followed science. I've gotten food at the WF Hot Bar during the pandemic and put on my plastic glove to do it - but never to WALK THROUGH
