This whole discussion of “my parents want to use their retirement on themselves” and “my parents are too busy to watch my kids” is merely a symptom of the current inability to grow up. Your parents cared for you and raised you for your first 18 years. It’s not their job to give you the down payment for your home or be there for free childcare. You have to grow up and be an adult at some point! That point usually comes when YOU have children that YOU have to care for and raise. I’m not saying they should never see their grandchildren. I’m saying they are NOT your piggy banks or nannies. Be a grown up. Let your parents enjoy their old age.

If you think your comment and mine mean the same thing you need to reread yours. Again bilingual doesn’t mean there are only two languages. It means that a specific person can speak two languages. A person can also be trilingual and speak three languages or multilingual and speak many languages. Bilingual doesn’t mean or imply that two is the finite number of languages.

That’s my fucking point, Cassie.

I’m happy to share this because I don’t care what side of the aisle you sit on, this is a fact. Speaker Mike Johnson this is for you. Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 50 years on every salary I received. From my first part time job until I retired. I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. Congress took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. 99% of people won't forward this to their timelines…..will you? Please, for the sake of our country, repost this.

I never quite knew what to make of Hunter Biden but this quote…this quote is everything. We have to believe or we are lost. And belief has to become action.
Hunter Biden: "I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump"

...and the breath completely left my lungs, but not for the reason I expected. The address belonged to The Meadows Children's Haven, a local, non-profit crisis nursery and foster home for abandoned infants and toddlers. I sat back, the tears finally spilling over, but the cold dread in my chest instantly melted into a profound, overwhelming warmth. I scrolled further back through the order history. He wasn't just sending leftover scraps; he was purchasing their highest-priority, most expensive needs every single week, completely unprompted and entirely anonymously.

A lot of folks forget… Texas hasn’t always been red. 🤠 When Democrat Ann Richards was governor, Texas ranked 7th in education. After nearly 30 years of Republican control, Texas now ranks 40th overall in education & 47th in reading. It’s past time for a change. 🌊

TWEEPS: The SAVE Act requires passports and birth certificates just to vote. Those cost money. When politicians make you pay money to exercise a constitutional right, that’s a poll tax. I need 1,000 fast RTs and replies using #SaveActIsPayToVote Please and thank you! 🙏💪

If I were the literal devil I would carefully convince Christians that there is something sinister about empathy, that forgiveness is reserved for those who serve my interests, and that love looks like incurious condescension.

I’ve been asked about my updated thoughts now that now that newly released footage from January 13, 2026 shows Alex Pretti in a heated confrontation with immigration agents. In the video, he is seen yelling, spitting in their direction, and kicking a vehicle taillight until it breaks. Agents then bring him to the ground, and during the struggle his concealed firearm becomes visible. For reasons still unexplained, the agents leave the scene without arresting him or even removing the firearm. Which in my mind raises serious concerns & questions regarding the training of immigration agents. The footage shows Alex making poor criminal decisions that day. That should have been handled through the legal system like any other crime. Arrest, charges, court, due process. That is how accountability works in our country. What it does NOT do is justify what happened later. Nothing in that earlier incident changes the fact that Alex Pretti was killed by government agents after being disarmed. Nothing erases the reality that he was entitled to due process. Nothing makes street level, unilateral government use of lethal force an acceptable substitute for a courtroom, a defense attorney, and a jury. We are a nation of laws. Guilt is decided in court, not on asphalt. It is also deeply disturbing that the public was told Alex was a “would be assassin” and “domestic terrorist looking to massacre law enforcement.” Those are lies, meant to gaslight the American people. That should concern everyone, no matter your politics. You can believe he acted wrong on January 13 and still believe his killing was unjustified. Those two things can exist at the same time. Accountability for citizens and accountability for government must go hand in hand, or freedom collapses. This is not about left versus right. It is not about party, agency, or ideology. It is about whether we still believe in the Constitution, due process, and the rule of law. We need to stand united as Americans who believe that no one is above the law and no one is beneath its protection.

If nobody had been there lawfully filming ICE then nobody would know they took his gun away BEFORE they shot him. Keep filming them

Don Winslow just released a devastating video about who we used to be: a country that argued fiercely, then came together. Don made this in spite of violent threats on his life. And DON'T MISS the ending. Watch it. Remember what trump cost us.

Stop demanding that Obama say something. He did. So did Hillary. Kamala. Biden. Bill. They warned repeatedly, explicitly before the election. Those warnings didn’t fail. They were ignored. Obama’s silence isn’t the problem..,how people voted or didn’t vote are.

Local police routinely, put officers involved in deadly shootings on administrative leave until an independent investigation is concluded. That should happen immediately. I can’t recall ever hearing a police chief immediately describing the victim as a “domestic terrorist” or a “would-be assassin.”   For calm to be restored, an independent investigation is the least that should be done.

DHS has been caught in too many lies. Don’t believe anything they say without receipts. Liam is an innocent bystander. His family is not undocumented. They came from Ecuador, presented themselves to border officials in Texas in December 2024, and applied for asylum. They followed the rules, showed up for court, posed no safety risk, and no flight risk. They never should have been detained. The Public Schools Superintendent says ICE used the boy as bait. I know who I believe.

A statement from the family of Alex Pretti, obtained by CNN: "We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you."

Owning a gun is legal. Carrying a gun is legal. The victim of today's ICE murder doesn't have the gun in his hands during the encounter from any of the video shown. He is on the ground having the shit kicked out of him and being pistol whipped. Then he is shot repeatedly. So much for the 2A.
