Here's a quick update since a number of people have been asking. * After many months of back forth emails with CBP, I was able to obtain the package's import entry number as well as a few other logistical details. * I used this information to file multiple FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests to try to obtain the missing CBP Form 3499 (Notice of Examination) and any other information related to the handling of the package, but was rejected each time either with a generic response ("every shipment is subject to inspection") or rejected because DHL Express was the importer on record and not me. * After many more months of bugging and trying to escalate with DHL, I finally got someone working on my case and am currently in active (but very slow) back forth email correspondence. Hopefully through DHL I can obtain these records and learn what actually happened. * This probably only happened/moved forward because I reached out to all my congressional constituents (house representative and state senator) at the suggestion of my AI agents helping me navigate this mess. Without Gemini or Muse, I can't imagine having to deal with all this paperwork process alone. * In the meanwhile, I've gone ahead and mailed off my 81-page SF-95 (Federal Tort Claim) package complete with every bit of evidence I have, starting the six month countdown. While this won't answer any questions nor bring back the floppy disk, at least I can hope to recover the money I spent on it.
