Urgent, please retweet ,URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER WITH A VIEW TO ADOPT NEEDED FOR PEGGY 🐾❤️ Please help us find this special little girl her happy ending. She has just THREE WEEKS to find a home. Preferably in the #Doncaster or surrounding areas.🏡❤️ Meet gorgeous Peggy, a 6-year-old, three-legged Cavapoo who sadly needs a new home through no fault of her own. 💕 #UK 11 Oct 2026. Peggy’s much-loved owner is facing major surgery and a lengthy recovery, which unfortunately means she will no longer be able to care for her. It’s a heartbreaking situation, and we really want to make this transition as gentle as possible for them both. Peggy lost one of her legs following an injury as a puppy, but please don’t let that put you off! This clever little tripod manages beautifully on her three legs and gets around perfectly well in her own way. 🐾 Peggy is a very loving little girl, but she does have some insecurities and needs an understanding, experienced home where she can settle at her own pace. She loves being close to her person and can become anxious when left alone, sometimes crying or licking herself. She can also become a little overprotective or possessive of her favourite human and has occasionally growled in these situations. We want to be completely open about this so we can find Peggy the right home from the outset. She isn’t a bad dog, just a little girl who needs patience, reassurance, gentle boundaries and help learning to feel safe and secure. 🏡 PEGGY’S IDEAL HOME: 🐾 An experienced, patient owner, ideally familiar with nervous or insecure dogs. 🐾 A calm, quieter, adult-only home with no resident or visiting children. 🐾 No other dogs, cats or pets. 🐾 Someone home for most of the day who can gradually help her feel comfortable spending short periods alone. 🐾 Ideally a retired person or couple with plenty of time, love and understanding to offer. 🐾 A quieter, preferably countryside-type location where she can enjoy a couple of gentle walks each day. 🐾 A secure garden and a home where she can settle without pressure, in her own time. We will provide full support and guidance, including help from our qualified behaviourist, to work through Peggy’s insecurities and help her build confidence in her new surroundings. ❤️ Peggy is spayed, vaccinated and has been given a clean bill of health by her own vet. We will also arrange a full assessment with our rescue vet once a suitable foster home is found. We would particularly love to find someone willing to foster Peggy with a view to adopting her, giving everyone time to make sure it’s the right match and avoid having to move her again. However, a suitable foster home would also be a huge help. ❤️ CAN YOU HELP PEGGY? ❤️ Please complete our application form below if you feel you could offer this lovely girl the understanding and security she deserves. 👉 bestlifedogrescue.co.uk/adop… Best Life Dog Rescue is a small, volunteer-run, foster-based rescue in Doncaster. We have no kennels, so finding the right foster home is absolutely essential. 🏡 Home checks, vet checks, ID checks and adoption fee apply. 🙏 PLEASE SHARE PEGGY’S APPEAL! Even if you can’t help personally, someone you know might be just the person she’s waiting for. Three weeks isn’t long, and we desperately want to make sure Peggy has somewhere safe and loving to go when her owner’s surgery comes around. ❤️🐾 Best Life Dog Rescue 🐶💕 #dogs #pets #adoptdontshop #England @KatieAmess @liamgallagher @rickygervais @JaneFallon @Jan_Leeming @clarebalding @AlistairCarns Peggy is desperate for a home, posted 11 Oct 2026.

Lady is a beautiful 8 year old female house cat. She is available and looking for a new home as sadly her elderly owner is unable to care for her anymore. Lady is chipped and spayed and healthy with no issues. She likes to eat dry food and can be left on her own if you need to go out. Lady uses a litter tray and is use to Catsan Hygiene. She is registered with the vets and has her paper work, Lady loves treats and would be best as the only pet in the home as this is what she is use too. No kids would also be best for her. Lady loves attention and belly rubs. She would be the great companion for someone. For more information please email [email protected] Sorry we are unable to reply to messages to the page.

Really need a BIG push of shares for this boy, his appeals are not doing great at all.
No enquiries for Tyson, can you please share to help him on his way? A loving home needed for Tyson - 15 year old - Staffy. Tyson is grieving the loss of his number one human, he loved. At his age, he deserves all the love, comfort and security we can possibly find for him. Unfortunately the other human in Tyson's life, is in poor health and unable to continue to care for him, or give him the time and care he needs. Tyson is a lovely boy who adores cuddles, gentle pats and human affection. He will greet you with a wagging tail, then roll over for a belly rub. He has so much love to give and deserves to spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, warmth and understanding. He is looking for a special person who understands the needs of an older dog, who can offer Tyson a safe, peaceful and loving home, where he can settle in at his own pace and feel cherished again. Tyson is very sociable with all people and good with children, however not as tolerant of other dogs or cats. So would need a home with no other pets. Tyson is registered with with the vet, he is microchipped, with no medical problems, not able to say when Tyson was last seen by the vet. He has not been walked on a lead, he has not been socialised with other dogs, he has shown aggression towards them. Although he has accepted and played with the dog belonging to other family member. Tyson can be left alone, he sleeps on a throw on the floor, he is house trained, he is okay travelling in the car. Tyson enjoys playing with a ball, he loves treats and does like a bone. Tyson has been eating Webbox chicken roll with toast, he has now been eating Butchers tinned dog food with kibble. This "Loving Boy" craves affection and human interaction. Could you be the special person Tyson needs, or perhaps you know someone who could open their heart and home to this beautiful older boy. Tyson is desperately looking for a happy, peaceful retirement, if you can help Tyson please email [email protected] for more information.

Please retweet, BRITISH PET CRISIS CONTINUES TO ESCALATE DUE TO UNSCRUPULOUS BREEDING AND IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP‼️ This poor dog, Kova is barely a year old and has already been used for breeding, abused, neglected and abandoned into a council pound #UK 'Well another week and another poundie. Please meet Kova who joined the Notts kennels this morning. This poor girl's body score has got to be around 2, she is very underweight. Kova jumped in the van and I didn't hear a peep out of her during the journey. We arrived at the kennels and she had a short walk to just stretch her legs before going into her kennel. This little girl is the most happiest, funniest dog that we've had in for a while but sadly also the most emaciated. Kova is barely a year old, she is just a baby but sadly she's already had a litter....just why?! We have started her on small meals of tripe and she's been wormed, she will also get checked over by our vet very soon. Kova is a petite girl but her character is huge and she has already shown us today how clever she is and despite all that she's been though she loves everyone she meets - these dogs are so forgiving & amazing aren't they! More updates to follow soon. ' Well done to @gsrescueelite German Shepherd Elite Rescue for saving Kova's life. Please adopt if you can to make space for another dog like Kova . Please retweet, could you adopt or foster #YORKSHIRE #UK? A small registered charity is OVERWHELMED 💔 We are currently receiving many more requests to take in dogs than we are adoption/foster enquiries 😔 We have had to turn countless dogs away just in the past week alone - something we absolutely hate to do, and goes against why we are here as a charity, but we simply have no space and our current dogs are all still sat waiting for someone to give them a chance 💔 To make matters worse, the vast vast majority of those enquiries we have received are failing to get back to us after initial contact - this is unprecedented and only a very recent issue that we just cannot understand 😣 PLEASE DO NOT apply to adopt/foster if you are not genuine or serious! It’s soul destroying to receive what sound like promising enquires, only to be ghosted 😓 We are truly doing all we can, but right now it feels like there just aren’t the homes out there and it’s tough - tough on us, but really tough on so many dogs who should be with their forever families 😓 Summer - August in particular - is probably the worst time for rehoming as so many people are away, but this is a plea to those people out there who maybe have already been away, or who have no holiday plans, to please consider fostering or adopting - we’re crying out for help, but please ONLY get in touch if you feel that you genuinely can help ❤️ We have had to seriously limit our intakes and haven’t had any new arrivals 💔 we’re desperate to help more dogs in need, but everything depends on finding homes/foster placements for our current dogs who need us ❤️ There is physically only so much we can do, and we just have no room or foster homes out there to be able to help any more 💔 Please stick with us - we will somehow get through this (even though right at this moment that feels like a pretty impossible task 😓) ❤️❤️❤️❤️ - Helping Yorkshire Poundies Dog Rescue. Below, Leo needs a home, apply here if you have the time and space for him... 👇👇👇👇helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.… Please share on facebook if you have it...👇👇👇 facebook.com/HYPSdogs #dogs #England #adoptdontshop Leo needs a home xxx

Please retweet to help Athena find a home #WALES #UK Available for adoption, registered British Charity ✅ Details or apply below👇👇👇 westwalespoundies.org.uk/dog… Athena is a Welsh Foxhound with quite a story behind her, and she deserves the right home to begin the next chapter. A few months ago, a kind local farmer got in touch to let us know about a hound she'd been spotting straying on nearby farmland for over four years, wild, wary, and impossible to get close to. Then came the discovery that changed everything: Athena had given birth to nine puppies in the farmer's barn. The farmer contacted us for help. After some incredibly patient coaxing, Athena was finally safely caught, and she and her little family were soon on their way to us. You could hardly blame her for looking relieved. Her puppies are now finding their own homes, and it's finally Athena's turn. The transformation since she arrived has been remarkable. She came to us thin, exhausted and frightened. Now she happily greets the people she knows, loves her time out in the field, and has really come to enjoy human company. She is still understandably cautious around strangers, but she has come such a long way. Athena is looking for a quiet, understanding home, with patient people who appreciate that she has spent the last four or five years fending for herself, and that adjusting to home life will take time. She has never lived in a house before, so everything will be new to her. She would benefit from living with a calm, settled dog she can take her cues from, and she'd suit teenagers or adults rather than young children. She's a big girl at around 35kg, walks well on the lead, but isn't yet comfortable in busy or built-up areas. As a hound she won't ever be safe off lead in open spaces, though she does stick close to the people she trusts, but you must be mindful of her breed. Athena is a quiet, gentle soul who has already shown just how much she's capable of. Given the right home and a little time, we think she'll be a wonderful companion. - @WWPdogs #dogs #Cardiff #Swansea #England #Brecon #adoptdontshop #Foxhound #hounds @KatieAmess @rickygervais @JaneFallon @WalesOnline Athena, available for adoption, please go to the website to apply for Athena or other dogs.

Orko is an 8 year old Border Terrier. He is available and looking for a new home. Orko would be suitable with someone who has had the breed before. He would be best in a home with no kids or other pets as he can be reactive to other dogs. Orko is chipped and neutered. He is very food motivated. Orko is very friendly and loving, he would be ideal for someone who is on their own looking for a companion. Orko would eat all day if he could. He loves food and will eat at any opportunity. He will take a treat but it does need to be given to him carefully as he gets excited and may snatch, however not in a bad way. Orko is very active and is always on the go. If he see's another dog he will bark at them. He has previously had problems with his weight which has been up and down. This has been investigated by the vets. He eats a mix of working dog food which is mixed with water, 3 times per day. Orko also likes treats. He is fully house trained and can be left on his own, usually in his crate. Orko travels in the car in the back seat with his doggy seat belt clipped in. If he is in the boot he will bark. Orko is registered with the vets and up to date with all his vaccinations. He would suit someone who is active and can be patient with him. Orko isn't a fan of the postman or delivery people. His favourite thing to do is have a cuddle on the sofa and a belly rub, he makes cute noises and always wants attention. For more information or to offer Orko a new home please email [email protected]

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧 Nobody handed working people the vote. They had to fight for it. In Newport, in 1839, that fight cost lives. Across the Welsh valleys, ironworkers and miners had had enough. They could forge the iron. They could dig the coal. They could not vote. They asked for it in writing. A petition over a million names strong. Parliament threw it out. So they marched. Thousands came down through the rain to the Westgate Hotel, where soldiers of the 45th Regiment were waiting, armed. At half past nine, the shooting began. It was over in half an hour. Around 22 lay dead. Many were buried in unmarked graves, and the true number is lost. 🔥 Their leader, John Frost, a draper and once the mayor of Newport himself, was sentenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered. The last man in Britain ever given that sentence. It was never carried out. They shipped him to the far side of the world instead. In Newport, men bled for the vote you hold. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Every time you vote, you stand in their line. They began it. You carry it now. Carry it with us, and their story reaches the ones who vote next If you can afford to support our mission: proudofus.co.uk/support Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Lily is looking for a new home. Due to unforeseen circumstances Lily is looking for a new loving, forever home. Lily is a 9 year old Domestic Shorthair Tabby. Lilly had to move to a house with two other cats which hasn't worked out. The stress and threat of being with the other two cats has had an effect on Lily as she has started to be reactive, will hiss and try to scratch which she never did before. She is not suitable for a house with young children and lots of noise. She needs a home with no other animals and people who understand cats in order for her to build her trust and come out of her shell. Lily loves attention, she is a very affectionate cat on her own terms, but can be a little spicey if not ready for interaction. She would benefit from people who can give her time. To sleep she loves a comfy cushion on the sofa or nestling between pillows on the bed. Lily is spayed, microchipped, registered with the Vet, no medical problems,. She can be left on her own, she eats wet food. Lily will come with Carry Box, Scratch Box, Scratch Tree & Electronic Feeder. Lily is an indoor/outdoor cat. For anymore information please email [email protected]

We’re still looking for a home for Astrid, can you please share? Astrid is a 5 year old female German Shepherd x Belgian Malinois. She is available and looking for a new home. Astrid is chipped and spayed and also healthy with no medical issues. She would suit a home with someone who is active and can give her plenty of walks and attention. Astrid eats a mix of wet and dry food and can be left on her own. She travels well in the van with her dog walker but can be car sick. She sleeps in her owners room at night either on the bed or her own bed on the floor. Astrid likes to meet new people and gets excited. She would be fine around teenagers but not small children. Astrid doesn’t like cats. She is registered with the vets. She is fine on group walks but when she is with her owner she can be reactive to other dogs as she thinks she is protecting her owner. A home with no other animals is best for Astrid and her needs. She is use to spending time alone at home with background music left on for her. Astrid is excellent at letting you know when she needs the toilet. She is kept on a lead when out on walks as she can be reactive to other dogs but not all dogs. She is also use to a long lead and loves to play with her toy or a ball. Astrid sees playing with toys or a ball as a job and doesn't pay much attention to other dogs unless they come into her space. For more information please email [email protected]

Two minutes is all it took. Between me leaving the water for wildlife and the birds mobbing it. Just look at their delight!😍 Drinking and bathing - all that joy from just a turn of the tap from me. This week will be very hot and most natural sources of water have dried up. Please provide water for our wildlife. Day and night. You'll never find an easier, more satisfying way to save a life.

An English surgeon in Glasgow beat a killer nobody could see. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 Today, every safe operation on earth begins the way he insisted. In 1865, 16 deaths in 35 operations was a good surgeon's record. The knife was not the killer. The ward was. Doctors called it hospitalism, and nobody knew the cause. Joseph Lister went looking for an enemy nobody could see. Reading the French chemist Pasteur, he learned that rot was the work of living things, germs, and that if they entered a wound, the deaths made sense. He needed a weapon. Carlisle was cleaning its sewage with carbolic acid. If it could clean a sewer, he reasoned, it could clean a wound. August 1865, Glasgow Royal Infirmary. An 11-year-old boy, run over by a cart, his leg broken open, the kind of wound the ward always won. Lister set the bone and dressed it with carbolic. 6 weeks later, the boy walked out. So it became the rule. Clean hands. Clean tools. Clean dressings. The grand men of medicine laughed at invisible germs. Lister had kept count. Before carbolic, 16 of his 35 amputation patients died. After it, 6 of 40. You can laugh at a theory. Nobody laughs at a ledger. Britain's victories are often like that. Quiet, and counted. We put the names back, free, for anyone who wants them. If you can afford to, help us teach thousands their own history: proudofus.co.uk/support Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧
