Sorry to state the obvious, but if someone has to hand you power, they have more power than you do. There’s something objectively hilarious about arguing that women are uniquely qualified to run the world while constructing a hypothetical in which the people currently running it have to suspend the normal mechanisms by which humans acquire power and simply “put” women in charge. If women were categorically better at acquiring, wielding, and maintaining power, we wouldn’t need a two-year global Make-A-Wish program where someone hands us the keys to civilization to prove it. We’d have the fucking keys.
