Communication is key but not literally. It doesn't always mean a quick fix, it's merely a step to possible change. Yes communicating doesn't automatically mean a person changes their behavior instantly but it can help lead them in the right direction

I don't expect anyone to immediately stop doing what I tell them hurts me but if they love me, as long as I've communicated, they'll subconsciously start trying to change and I won't hate them for slipping up but l'll notice the effort they put into limiting how much it reoccurs.
