Due to winter storm, @Salesianum will be CLOSED on Monday, February 1. Classes will NOT meet online on Monday. IF school is closed Tuesday, classes will meet virtually. Wednesday will be a chapter day as scheduled with seniors and sophomores on campus.

So what’s your point? If a family chooses to send their kid to school to receive a catholic education and happens to qualify for financial aid or earned an academic scholarship based on test score their sports programs have an unfair advantage?

No one is on scholarship at Salesianum for sports. Anyone athlete or not who qualifies for aid may get some help. Every parent makes a huge sacrifice to pay to go there. Kids aren’t recruited by coaches... the sports programs and academic reputation does that on its own.

The replies to this chain is exactly the problem. Grown men against high school football players getting an equal chance to compete. “But you guys recruit!” I know for a fact that @troyreeder9 , Brian O’Neill, and neither I or anyone I played with was recruited. Let the boys play
