No matter who is watching, when culture connects powerfully with its audience it’s doing its job. Sitting in the @newdiorama last night, amongst a predominantly Black audience, watching an all Black cast, the strength of connection was deep, and truly exhilarating. #ForBlackBoys.

Theatre is a great way to build empathy and an understanding of people who have an entirely different lived experience. #ForBlackBoys gave me fresh insight into the lives of young Black men in the U.K. We all benefit when we step beyond our own personal bubbles.
Congrats all! 👏🏾

@newdiorama #ForBlackBoys is one of the best plays I’ve watched in a long time, the physical expression was insane. The black boy joy radiated, I saw in all 6 of their eyes how much it meant to them. In moonlight black boys may look blue, but in sunlight black boys are golden.

'The most important performance of my life.' (Stella, 79 years old).
Yesterday we welcomed our community partners @ThirdAgeProject to a closed matinee performance of FOR BLACK BOYS. The cast came out to meet members of the group post-show - to a very warm reception. 🧡🧡🧡☀️

Wow. For Black Boys @newdiorama was gorgeous. @RyanCalaisC really did that. @TristanFAiduenu what you’re able to get out of your cast is unmatched. The vulnerability, the laughs, the bars, the tunes, the movement, the psychological truth gave me what I needed. Thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
