Many Worlds of Quantum Mechanics
(for dummies like me)

Many Worlds Interpretation (MWI) is an explanation (one among a few) of the theory of QM, about what is *really* happening out there. This is a long thread about how I understand it written for laypersons.

I can imagine it, but it still will be fun to watch.

Saying that all physical processes are computable is a metaphysical assumption
Norman? (Ancient Normans were Scandi bumpkins who wiped their arse with straw)
You mean Capetian…

The West, or perhaps only the Anglosphere, is the historically unique idea that individuals exist not for the sake of their ruler, their class, their society, their ancestors, their gods, or any other such superstition, but for their own sake.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.
What a stupid discussion by people with zero understanding of Indian history…
(Sad that X thinks I need to read this drivel)
Pakistan’s failures are genuinely so hard to understand. It’s not the demographics or the human capital; Pakistan was the *seat* of the persianized Mughal administration, it was the *governing center* of much of India. It’s not really simply “bad institutions”, because India’s institutions are also shit, and Islam arguably has a caste-suppression effect. One could plausibly say it’s political geography, as India inherited some fairly crucial shipping lanes, or western distrust of Pakistan due to Chinese alignment for a while, but in theory Pakistan SHOULD have developed more evenly and reliably than India, with stronger institutions, and it’s bizarre that it didn’t.

good God it’s a horror show
anybody still wanna tell me this is all no biggie
Handbags for Palestine! :)

The -vant in romaṇvant is cognate with the Persian -vand (meaning possessor). Ergo hairy / bushy.
“roman” means body hair in Sanskrit.
Clearly some ancestral roots didn’t quite travel :)

Not a single Pakistani needs to fabricate an Arab identity to take pride in our heritage. In fact, we proudly acknowledge that our ancestors embraced Islam while retaining our ancestral roots. Perhaps you need to learn the difference between religious identity & ethnic ancestry.
I like how people advice what @elonmusk “should have focussed on”. It is comical to read.

I will add for balance, I've been driving a Tesla since 2019. They make very good cars. I just think we all need a reality check on this one. They should have just focussed on getting the Roadster they announced in 2017 out.
Such a pedestrian suśasti, feel terribly sorry for this god.
This is how you do it, with error-correcting verses thrown in:

When you stand before Him at the Great White Throne judgement, you will bow and worship Jesus, you will confess Him King of Kings and Lord of all Lords, by whom and through whom all things were created. You will admit that your gods are false, demons who lie. Beg for His mercy.
