This is amazinggg!!!👏🎉
I've seen a few founder folks in Nigeria FOMOing over CAL ai's acquisition.
Relax guys, it probably wouldn't have as much scale or even be profitable in Nigeria.
Market dynamics are different. Unless you wanna target the US market.
Cal AI has been acquired by MyFitnessPal 🚨
Henry and I started Cal AI as 17-year old high school students with one mission: make calorie tracking easier with AI.
In just 18 months, we’ve helped millions of people lose millions of pounds. And we broke $50m in ARR along the way.
We are at an incredible inflection point in history where ANYBODY can build a product that can improve lives and make millions.
As founders, we get a lot of praise. The truth is that this would not have been possible without our incredible 30+ person team. We are so proud of what this team has accomplished, and are thankful to everyone that has been instrumental in Cal AI’s development and success.
Cal AI will continue as a separate app from MyFitnessPal. The combined team will share resources to continue helping people achieve their fitness goals!

One of my biggest fears of traveling is being a country and suddenly shit like this starts to happen.
You just on vacation and suddenly you are caught in the middle of a conflict you know nothing about.
How to build a successful business in 2025:
❌More features..
✅ Idea → Validate → Build → Test → Deploy → Listen → Modify & Iterate
Some founders who fail just obsess over features. Customers want solutions, not more features.
Listen to them!

Turn any idea into a startup in 24 hours:
1. Simple landing page highlighting the problem
2. Core feature, or lead magnet if not ready
3. Payment gateway(Stripe/paypal)
4. Launch the product
5. Share the news

Founders, If you want more people on your waitlist, add a valuable lead magnet to it
Why?
1. This simple addition can 2x your email list
2. Helps you qualify your leads
3. Engage users till launch
Don't just take from people. Give too! Make it worth their time

Your job as a founder isn’t to be the smartest or hardest-working person in the room.
It’s to build a room where intelligence multiplies and hard work becomes contagious.
Great founders don’t scale themselves. They scale the environment around them.

✅ Laptop crashed
✅ Pivoted countless times
✅ Sleepless nights worrying about the right marketing angles
All these has just led me one step closer to launching my first SAAS product.
Here's a lesson: Setbacks are just slight retracements for that moon shot.

Vercel's v0 just saved me over $3k
I'm trying to join an accelerator but without a working product, I need a prototype to pitch my way in
Was thinking figma but after watching @thepatwalls video with @nico_jeannen , I gave it a try
Here's the result. Thoughts?

Dreaming big won't get you to $10k MRR.
Mastering your product and go-to-market workflow through enough repetitions will.
Good morning hackers, go build something awesome this week!

Harvard certs won't make you rich. What you learn on the streets will!
I learnt how to build businesses here on Twitter for FREE.
You just need to follow the right accounts like Greg, @levelsio , @thepatwalls and DO THE WORK
Then SHIP, and watch yourself grow.

I was talking to a friend yesterday who has 2.3M followers about my social media strategy.
"You can 3x your engagement just by 3x-ing the amount of content you put out. Just do more motivational tweets or funny memes, bro"
He is right but wrong too.
RIGHT - The algo would reward me. My followers would climb faster. That sweet sweet dopamine would hit more often.
WRONG - I realized long ago that I don't necessarily want the biggest audience. I want the right audience. I only want to put out posts when I've got something worthwhile to say. That might mean I don't tweet for days.
I exist on social media to share insights, ideas, and tactics that might actually make a difference for people building things. Everything valuable I learn, I try to share in a way that's immediately useful.
People build businesses with these ideas, and as corny as it sounds, sometimes it's life changing. And i find that cool as hell.
So, I won't hold back.
This approach means I'll never have the engagement of someone posting AI art or motivational platitudes.
Of course, I have bangers that go mega viral, but I could go more viral if I 10x the amount of posts with memes/motivational stuff. And I'm completely fine with that.
The group of founders, operators, and builders who find my content useful are the exact people I want to connect with. The signal-to-noise ratio in those relationships is extraordinarily high.
I've found that optimizing for usefulness rather than virality has led to deeper connections, better opportunities, and a community of people I genuinely enjoy interacting with.
It's a classic case of playing the long game. The internet rewards consistency and specificity more than it rewards temporary virality.
So I'll keep sharing what I learn, even when it gets fewer likes than a well-timed meme would. The right people will find it valuable, and ultimately, that's the only metric that matters to me.
Optimizing for likes is like fast food.
It feels good in the moment, but leaves you empty and unsatisfied in the long run.
Chasing likes, I don't know.
Just doesn't feel like the move to me.

Please pivot your idea/product/business model if it’s not working.
No one really cares if you fail. People don’t give a shit about you or what you do. Do whatever you can to find PMF and succeed.
This right here is a fact!
You either go narrow or broader.

Build Chrome extensions for products with MASSIVE user bases (Gmail, Notion, etc.)
Use ChatGPT to identify UX pain points in these tools, then create extensions that solve them.
Here's one that I'm working on..😊
