friends cooked teheri yesterday and i can’t believe it took us hours to assemble ingredients and get this right. to think that this is the kinda shit our mothers have been cooking 3x a day everyday, is driving me insane
It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

chat how can we get this this to release in India
That movie reminded me why movie theatres exist. Some movies simply demand to be experienced collectively, as a cultural Event. Watching this at home on Netflix would be a crime against art. LONG LIVE CINEMA!

How do people even think of these ideas. I’ve had some original cool ideas, but nothing so simple, so gorgeous, so haunting.

the trick is having the courage to live through a chapter you hate without letting it poison your belief in the story. even in the middle of something painful, you can hold onto that deep pull toward what your life could become. so much of life comes down to your ability to keep believing in what you cannot see yet, to keep faith in the story while you’re still living through the parts that make it hard to believe

its so funny that whats happening right now is exactly this just 100x and only person from this ad has guts to still speak on it and now there are orders to deport him.
The irony of bollywood campaigning for voting rights in 2009 and staying silent today

You’ve heard a lot about Umar Khalid through the media. But amid the media witch-hunt against him, there has been very little space for him to speak for himself, especially since he’s spent the last six years in jail. So I want to tell you a little about my friend Umar, in his own words, as shared with his family and friends.

The level of brainwashing modi has achieved needs to be studied in a lab because even hitler would be taking notes. imagine being so politically conditioned that you genuinely believe questioning a politician is the same as betraying your country. bro has been turned into a god, criticism is treated as treason, and his supporters will defend literally anything as long as it comes from him. and then we wonder how the british ruled India for over 200 years. bestie, the colonial mindset never left, it just found a new daddy to worship.

for some bhakts, no amount of proof will ever be enough, because the problem was never the lack of evidence, it’s the lack of willingness to question their supreme leader. even if modi ji personally held a press conference saying “here’s how i rigged the elections and hired the ECI,” they’d call him a political mastermind, declare him the godfather of indian politics and ask the opposition to learn from him. they don’t want accountability, they want another reason to worship.

Dear Gen Z, You may not know the glorious early years of Modi and Shah. Here's a brief history. Haren Pandya was Modi's home minister when Modi was parachuted in as Gujarat CM in October 2001. Modi wasn't an MLA and had to win a seat within six months. He needed a safe one. Without it, he was sure to lose. His eyes fell on Ellis Bridge, the safest BJP seat in Ahmedabad. Haren Pandya was its MLA. Modi asked him to step aside. Pandya's reply: "I'm ready to give this seat to anyone but Modi." He had known Modi for years. Vajubhai Vala was asked to resign. He obliged, gave up his Rajkot seat, and Modi was in. In March 2003, Haren Pandya went for his morning walk. He was found dead in his car. Five bullets. The story cooked up: terrorists from Hyderabad. It fell apart. The truth is simple. Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his aide Tulsi Prajapati pulled the trigger. Sohrabuddin ran with Amit Shah's extortion racket. The man who gave the contract is no secret. When the UPA took over, the CBI picked up the case. But by then Sohrabuddin and his wife were already dead. Tulsi Prajapati followed, killed in a fake encounter. And the man smiling next to Modi in that photograph? D.G. Vanzara. He carried out both killings. The CBI had audio tapes of Amit Shah. Shah was arrested in July 2011, bailed on one condition: stay out of Gujarat. The case moved to Mumbai. Judge Loya, an honest judge, had all the evidence before him. He summoned Amit Shah repeatedly. Shah never showed up, not once, even in Mumbai. Loya was about to order his arrest. Days later, Loya was dead, in Nagpur, at a colleague's daughter's wedding. He had been offered ₹100 crore and the Chief Justiceship of the Bombay High Court for a favourable verdict. He refused to sell his conscience. He paid with his life. There's more. Read. Remember. This is the gang sitting in the highest seats of power in our great nation.

Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson has been detained, at age 66, to stop him from attending a peaceful protest. Moral spine is the power that terrified the British, is terrifying this government.
My father @TusharG was followed and taken to DN Nagar Police Station. Listen to the testimony of the driver who saw the state apparatus pick up a 66 year old unarmed descendent of India’s founders. “Bring my medicine” - his text to me. @RahulGandhi @SauravDassss @neha_aisa

This us such an unusual self goal by the government that it is clear there was not a single brain cell in the room that approved it. A central idea in Guerrilla warfare is cost-imposition through latent threat. Mao and Giap wrote about this extensively. Both referred to the concept of fleet-in-being used by the English Navy. Basically the mere existence and mobility of ships caused the enemy to cripple themselves by imposing great readiness costs. Applied here the protesters have imposed city-scale friction without assembling. All they have to do is to announce another one the day after and so on so forth. YOU HANDED BUNCH OF YOUNG PEOPLE A WAY TO SHUTDOWN YOUR NATIONAL CAPITAL!!!!!
🚨 JANTAR MANTAR PROTEST 🚨 ▪️ Trains cancelled ▪️ More than 50 Metro stations likely to be shut ▪️ Protesters placed under house arrest ▪️ Journalists placed under house arrest ▪️ More than 40,000 security personnel deployed ▪️ Roads blocked ▪️ Hotels being searched ▪️ Delhi borders under strict surveillance ▪️ Wine shops shut ▪️ Internet shutdown possible All this for a protest.

Mahatma Gandhi’s great grandson being told not to protest at the site Gandhi launched the quit India movement by Indian police who take orders from a man who belongs to the same organization as Gandhi’s assassin.
Mumbai police are calling me and my associates and telling us to call off tomorrows call. They are also telling us that the High Court has designated Azad Maidan for protests. But I am determined to go to August Kranti Maidan and protests there. The Police are welcome to prevent me from going/reaching there or arrest me for protesting without permission. That is the whole ideal of Civil Disobedience, Satyagraha!
