Deploy mobile machines with human pilots to train the AI. Use brain implants to compete with the AI. The winner gets the moons of the solar system. @voxelisai

finding the source of foreign adversarial hacker swarms and droning their GPUs seems like something worth doing. I don't think kinetic is an overstep vs. this level of threat.

Perhaps the threat was never a rogue AI agent trying to subvert humans—but humans using AI to hurt other humans.

they told us in math class in the early 2000s that we wouldn’t have a calculator with us always and 20 years later my friends argue whether or not my pocket phone contains a conscious machine god

Completely the right move to help ensure democracy survives the crazy future ahead of us. The space economy will likely exceed Earth’s entire economy this century, eventually by a lot. How do people retain political power if they have no economic significance? I think great numbers of people holding equity in the companies in space may be the only way.
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

Watching people complain about datacenters over mediums that require datacenters is equal parts hilarious and sad. I wish humans weren't such hypocrites.

This is poor execution of hazing strategy. 30 18-year-old men should be utilized to achieve the following during rush: - Extensive sale of blood plasma: 30 x $100 per 2 donations is $3,000. With a chain of referrals, this increase to $6,000. Through the entire pledging process, this can easily break $15,000. - Chain of referrals to SoFi and other Fintechs, earning $200+ each time. This adds at least another $6,000. - Open Sector 8 (the gym): You will bench, squat, sprint, drag, and carry. Being a man means being bold and willing to fight through pain. - Gauntlet of online surveys: don’t stop until you’re numb (+$500). This is an endurance challenge. - Skills testing: Tap a keg, shotgun a beer without spilling, change oil, get a phone number by talking to a girl irl without sweating Take all monetary gains and put it into a slush fund and pay for all expenses for the fraternity throughout the semester. Having dudes bask in mayonnaise in a basement is the work of a rookie pledge master.
Police found roughly 30 partially clothed young men packed inside a sweltering basement at a Wisconsin fraternity house, covered in food, condiments and other liquids — with several showing signs of being physically struck. Officers responded to an anonymous tip at the Alpha Epsilon Pi house on Langdon Street in Madison around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday during rush week. The thermostat in the basement was set to 81 degrees, creating hot and humid conditions. The vast majority of those inside were 18 years old. Fraternity president Brayden J. Klein and vice president Samuel N. Vane, both 20, were arrested on hazing and disorderly conduct allegations. Police say cooperation from those at the scene was limited, and statements from witnesses didn't align — raising red flags for investigators. Full story here foxnews.com/us/dozens-pledge…

Next year, we're going to launch a spacecraft that will be given zero commands from Earth after it separates from the launch vehicle. The spacecraft will attempt to complete all of its mission objectives with no human operator in the loop. Today we’re introducing Autonomy-1, powered by our spacecraft intelligence model, Solo. 🧵

Today, Pioneer Labs is announcing our first step towards terraforming Mars. 🚀🌼 With equipment that fits in just a single rocket launch, we can convert Martian dirt, water, and air into enough building materials to construct a small city on Mars. To do it, we made the first microbe for Mars. We found the best microbe on Earth and used evolution to teach it how to source all of its nutrients directly from Martian materials. The first astronauts will be greeted with safe shelter already filled with water, oxygen, and rocket fuel for the return journey. This is the first step toward using biology to make Mars a friendly place for life. It lets us live off the land and helps us build the next great frontier. It's the first of five organisms we need to green Mars ⬇️

Astra is going to make KiCad feature competitive with Altium in 3 months RIP Altium
We got a real quote this week for $15k to migrate a KiCad file to Altium and validate a layout. So anyway, we feel bad for the people who work at that company. (Didn't sign it, obviously, because why.) Hope they are learning how to be machinists.
