Jython 2.7.5 is currently in beta, with a release candidate upcoming soon. A good moment to test your setup with the upcoming release is *now*! Mind a breaking change: It moves from javax to jakarta.servlet namespace. (Download link in the comments.) #jython #java #jvm #python

We just added a @jbangdev catalog for Jython, thanks to @werner_fouche 's initiative! As a result, running Jython scripts becomes even easier: jbang run jython-cli@jython <jython-script>.py or after install: jython-cli <jython-script>.py #java #jython #jbang #jdk

We're happy to share that @werner_fouche has written a follow-up article about his Jython/JBang integration effort we shared last week. It provides example code to get you started, including a Spring rest client example. #jython #jbang @jbangdev

We're excited to share that there has been an effort by @werner_fouche to integrate Jython with JBang. Please checkout his Medium article to learn how to run Jython scripts on JBang easily! #jython #jbang @jbangdev

Jython is now also on Bluesky. If you are following us here, please join us there as well!

Jython 2.7.4 final has just been released. Get the installer at repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/p… Big thanks to everyone who contributed and made this maintenance release happen!
