“Welcome to Notre Dame!” It’s a phrase you hear often on gameday weekends. You might have met us through football, but let us tell you who we are and what we’re focused on as an institution. A Thread 🧵

Just what we need in America, young men acting out shooting people. #AMAs50

Yale's marching band wasn't able to travel to Spokane for their NCAA Tournament game against Auburn today. So, Idaho's band filled in for them—and wore Yale apparel.

Can someone tell me who these studio commentators are? They are not identifying them and I don’t recognize any of them. Love Mike Tirico, tho. #MIAvsKC

Fascinating to listen to experts discussing the failure of SVB. Was it caused by the Fed? What impact does it have on: regional banks, interest rate hikes, and SV tech firms earnings/cash flow? #SVB #federalreserve #thefed #tech xitter.cf/i/spaces/1eaJbrYkEVYJX

It’s amazing the magic that happens at live performances with engaged audiences!
I don’t know who needs to hear this but Neil Diamond, who retired from performing five years ago because of Parkinsons, just had a Broadway show of him open and it at the opening night he did this
Since the 1st time I saw this video, I think of it often. Software “eating” everything on a desk over the past 20 years.
In the last 20 years, software ate the world. In the next 20 years, AI will eat software.
For the women’s race TV is covering 1 person - the leader. Hopefully @nbcchicago will send the wheelchair TV crew to follow the pack of women who are 3:42 behind the leader.
Despite not getting much TV time, Conner Mantz and Frank Lara are still working together through 25k as the top Americans in a chase pack of 10. Their 5k splits: 14:59 15:22 14:48 15:09 15:09 Mantz is in 11th place overall at the moment.

. @NCAATrackField #NCAATF It’s disrespectful to these student-athletes at Indoor Nationals to only have raw footage with no commentary on the @espn app coverage.

This is the best tweet EVER! #COVID19
So we're all supposed to "prepare for blizzard conditions" just because the scientific establishment and the media say so? And anyone who says it will be sunny and 70 is canceled? All's I'm saying is, lots of $ changing hands in snow shovel industry. Do your own meteorology.

Some feel “lied” to about vaccine efficacy. But: 1) The vaccines were WAY more effective than originally hoped for. Even now, 2 mRNA doses meet the original authorization bar. 2) It’s actually a miracle 2 doses works at all against Omicron - it’s a totally different virus. 🤔

Just leaving the ER. It was a long day. And a stunning amount of Covid. Today I worked in an area that was temporarily converted into a makeshift ICU during the first COVID wave. Here’s what different from then. And also what challenges we’re facing with this surge in NYC: 🧵
