Yesterday, my aunt had her birthplace recognized as Palestine and inshAllah next year, my uncle who is a Nakba survivor will have his hometown of Ramla recognized as Palestinian too. May all Indigenous place names be restored as we move towards global decolonization.

21-year-old activist injured by ICE:
I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. I can't sneeze or cough because it's dangerous to. They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.

There's a strain of open anti-Somali racism in Minnesota that's going national the exact same way the hatred for Haitian refugees in Ohio did last Sept, and the reason there hasn't been any pushback is because establishment dems, including our mayor, see it as politically useful.
