And they ask me to use paper straws
It is becoming f*cking dangerous A 23-year-old dev from China just ran 300 Claude Code agents in parallel and hooked them to a verification layer so none of them could bullshit him He opens the live dashboard: - 300 agents writing and checking at the same time - Every output verified against the source in ~100 ms - Three passes over 100 company profiles → zero errors left - Everything dumped straight into an Obsidian vault The trick is the split: one model does the work, a cheaper one decides if the claim is actually true. The loop doesn’t stop until everything checks out An analyst team would bill weeks for this. He got it in one run Same kind of Second Brain + swarm setup that keeps circulating. This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax. - 100-500× faster than mermaid.js - 6× smaller bundle - No dependencies - Easy to theme - Responsive to device width In pursuit of making Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now. Pele [ˈpɛlɛ] is named after the goddess of volcanoes and fire. It's open source under the MIT license. Try the playground!

Cindy is one of the best distributed systems engineers I know, and resistant to any and all hype (also a great writer!) From her: "Claude (when given proper instructions, constraints, and context) now writes better code than me, almost always."
To create my claude.md, I had it read: - my favorite programming books + blogs - the best oss projects - the code of the engineers I respect the most Claude (when given proper instructions, constraints, and context) now writes better code than me, almost always.

Oomf she gonna die some accident
A 20-year-old Canadian* lottery winner decides to take $1,000 weekly for life instead of $1,000,000. Would you take 60+ years of counterparty risk that the $1,000 per week remains intact, or the $1,000,000 lump sum? *No tax on lottery winnings in Canada.

I can fix her
‼️ Meet Chinese spy Wanying Zhang aka “Heather”, who spied on the US-based son of the Taiwanese president and was arrested. She texted her handler "Saw him. Young male. It's that young one," and "I am videorecording." We found her online profiles 🧵

Hey @grok, concise no spin. Could a passenger walk normally to the cockpit while a Boeing 737 is nose-diving 14,125 ft in 29 seconds while sustaining −1G, making normal movement almost impossible? Yes or no

Imagine your next work meeting. Junior: We should fix the database perf problem with assembly You: I don't follow. We're talking about a stuck SELECT. We just need an index Junior: The database will be faster if we rewrite it in assembly. Omarchy is 17x faster because of assembly You: Rewriting a database is a big project, and an assembly port wouldn't change data structures. Asymptotically, a full table scan... Junior: DHH proved that coding agents work best in assembly. It's 17x faster than Rust. Should we be 17x slower than our competition? VP: Junior has a point. We need to provide the best customer experience. You: It'll take at least a year, even with AI help, to match PostgreSQL, and a perf win isn't guaranteed. Consider how Turso still has gaps in... Junior: Skill issue. Models can one shot this. Labs used reinforced learning to make models write the best code. VP: Great. On the roadmap for next week. You: ... So, do we want to add that index in the meantime? VP: Can you do it in assembly?
switching to assembly doesn't give a 17x performance mate

A single setting removes every AI-related feature in Zed. Not a VS Code fork, btw...
Anybody have a VS Code fork with all of the extra features and AI stuff removed? I want a minimal editor that doesn't spam me with requests to use a mediocre agent when I just want to quickly look at some code changes.

Software engineers don't even read the AI generated code anymore. They just look at you like this.
I hate this. I hate that people, even when slopping, don't even think about how it works. This has to end poorly and I don't see how an increase in "intelligence" is going to save you from the results of blind feature lust

Sejarah is gonna be so difficult for the kids
Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz has sacked all state excos, except Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim. The state palace said the decision followed the exco members' declaration that Tuanku Muhriz was no longer the state ruler, which it deemed a breach of their oath of office. 🧵1

Frame this in the Louvre
In April he said AI was a multiplier and everyone has to use it. If they're now facing a slop problem, that start's at the top. AI is a multiplier. If it's being used to create slop grenades it's multiplying the things the leadership rewards.
