This effectively makes # of unsolved challenges to be 0 for The Duck :) It was a fun weekend activity that allowed Theori researchers to show off their deep knowledge and strong skills in Web3 security. Thanks to @paradigm_ctf for hosting the CTF!

Also I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the same researchers who got these results are the same ones working on Xint's commercially available AppSec harness - so you're basically getting the mind of the world's best offensive security researchers to secure your own applications for much much much less cost
Congratulations to Team Xint (@yves_bieri @cdor1 @tjbecker @taisic_) for their 2nd place finish + $240k in winnings at #Pwn2Own Ireland: 🎯 5/5 on their exploit submissions, including the Home Assistant Green, Google Pixel 10, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, LiteLLM, and Philips Hue Bridge Pro 📲 First team to hack the Pixel 10 (and might have won us the whole thing if it didn't turn out to have been a known bug) 🤝 First time we competed as team Xint And special thank you to all the organizers and judges at @thezdi for their work making such a high quality event happen and bringing together the best talent from around the world to compete And of course congrats to @ikotas00 on their first place finish (first Japanese team to win Master of Pwn!)

"rewarded with a $600 bounty" i feel like OAI's models often miss a few digits, and not sure their IPO valuation will have the same advantage
🫸👻🫷GhostCompact: abusing compactions for 99% discounted OpenAI API model inference. Two things combine to make this possible: 1. A billing logic bug with inline compactions 2. A new technique to use compactions as inference

Success!! Tim Becker (@tjbecker) and Yves Bieri (@yves_bieri) of Xint (@xint_official) just remotely exploited the targeting Google Pixel 10! Stay tuned for confirmation if they will secure the total of $300,000 and 30 Master of Pwn points!

I’ll be in Singapore for OB1 next week with @5unkn0wn, who found the CopyFail bug and give a talk with it. If you’re around, feel free to ping me/us for a casual chat about anything cybersecurity and our product related. We’ve got a few lunch/dinner spots open, so ping me soon before they fill up.
🚨 THE #OB12026 @offbyoneconf AGENDA HAS DROPPED! The talks are locked in. The research is coming. The countdown is on! 📅 14–15 September 2026 📍 Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Singapore 🔗 Check out the full agenda: offbyone.sg/programme 🎟️ Tickets: merch.starlabs.sg

🚨 new Xint research 🚨 Previous studies have demonstrated that AI-generated code tends to have more flaws, but we looked at what specific **types** of flaws AI is prone to producing and why. What we found is helpful for dev and prodsec so they know what to look for when reviewing AI code. Great work from Xint researcher @junorouse and in addition to these findings his methodology is worth taking a look at as well: To get this level of contextual analysis for a single code base would have taken weeks for even a team of experienced pentesters. But to do so across 28 different codebases in less than a week was practically impossible until a platform like Xint came along that can not only analyze every single line of code like a human pentester across millions of lines of code in just hours, but also Xint was able to de-duplicate over 8,800 findings into just 500+ unique findings, and then validate down to just ~430 true positives that it then automatically categorized and scored. go.xint.io/the-top-security-…

🚨 Have you been interested in the quality of Xint results but needed a one-time scan of a single live application (for example, for a one-time compliance scan of a vendor) instead of a longer-term commitment for several apps, servers, and APIs? Get on the waitlist for Xint Pulse - coming soon! xint.io/pulse-waitlist

Can finally share the details of a really nice Redis RCE found by @xint_official back in December. IMO, the bug is really cool! In short, carefully crafting eviction parameters and blocking on a key can cause a client to self-evict during unblocking, leading to a use-after-free!

Surfaced by Xint Code — our AI vuln research platform — pointed at the kernel's crypto/ for about an hour, on a starting hunch from @5unKn0wn. Came back with CopyFail (plus others, still in coordinated disclosure). Write-up + PoC (exploit): copy.fail Xint Code: code.xint.io

Patch your Linux boxes! Copy.Fail is a trivially exploitable logic bug in Linux, reachable on all major distros released in the last 9 years. A small, portable python script gets root on all platforms. Found by the teams at @theori_io and @xint_official More details below xint.io/blog/copy-fail-linux…

'Before [Xint security researcher @tjbecker] started working on automatic bug finding with AI, he worked on vulnerability research, finding zero days and reporting them to maintainers. He said it used to take him weeks or months to find a high-impact vulnerability in a brand-new codebase, and now it only takes hours. “I just drop the code into our AI bug-finding tool [Xint] and in a couple hours I get a report with a bunch of candidate vulnerabilities, and most of them end up checking out and being real issues,” he said. “The bar to diving into a new million-line codebase and finding a bug is so much lower than it used to be.”' Great report from @verge looking into the new era of cybersecurity, where even non-technical attackers can use AI to find the weaknesses in the apps and networks of organizations faster and at a scale never thought possible before. theverge.com/ai-artificial-i…

Join award-winning security researcher @tylerni7 on @TechstrongTV for this hands-on workshop for product security practitioners. In this workshop he will: 1) go deep into how AI-native AppSec differs from traditional tools and methods 2) share the pitfalls of poorly harnessed AI bug finding 3) and provide a demonstration of how the scaffolding (and not the model) is what will provide superior results for what product security looks like in the real world webinars.techstronglearning.…

Big news: Samsung Electronics selected Xint as a strategic tool to overcome the limitations of traditional manual security audits and to eliminate security blind spots. Leveraging AI on top of Theori's expertise as world class hackers, Xint autonomously analyzes the structure and context of services within complex infrastructures. This allows it to identify potential penetration paths from an actual attacker's perspective, even within frequently updated hybrid cloud environments. theori.io/news/316173ae-b1aa…

Sounds like there's an insider? NUKE every K8s cluster 💣💣💣💣💣💣 > Rather, the attacker was able to gain access to the list of RPCs our DVN uses, compromise two of them – which were independent nodes running on separate clusters without direct connection to each other – and swap out binaries running the op-geth nodes.
