time from idea → execution is your moat 🚢
DeFi can (and should) be fun🦄
The Uniswap Labs team proved it this week at Permissionless by blending IRL and digital activations for our community.
It got even better today.
What started as a simple — yet nostalgic — idea for our Uniswap House event quickly became a viral hit across Crypto Twitter.
Here’s how it all unfolded:
> We handpicked 20 of the most iconic personalities on Crypto Twitter and turned them into trading cards. These were inserted into packs, with a chance to pull rare holo cards.
> The buzz picked up fast on social media, with hundreds of users asking how they could get their hands on cards — despite not being at the event.
> To respond, our team moved quickly. “Vibe-coding” a landing page in just 6 hours yesterday, leveraging AI and Twitter profiles to generate personalized digital cards for anyone who wants one.
The result?
Hundreds (and counting) of user-generated submissions flooded Crypto Twitter — giving everyone a chance to join the Uniswap House experience, no matter where they were.

So unbelievably lucky to know & have worked with some of the most talented people in the world at their craft
They’re each an expert in a given nuance & the first person I reach out to to solve an issue or unlock something deeper
@DylanAbruscato — understands markets & positioning better than anyone else (and is *almost* always right)
@junmobius — my technically-savvy other half who unlocks the potential in products
@ettinger — crafts the story & articulates concepts that makes the building worthwhile
We all share an understanding of how each other works which makes building together always an accelerant
It’s what any high performing team needs. Fuck the rest. Thankful to have my core
After working with 30+ marketing teams over the last few years, one single team executed significantly better than the rest:
They had a full-time designer focused 100% on marketing.
I've worked with countless companies that have raised millions that have super-talented designers focusing 99% of their team of the product.
This negatively impacts the product and the marketing design:
1/Your ability to experiment will be handicapped by your ability to create
2/It creates a difficult tension between product and marketing teams each vying for the same resources
3/Your designers are forced to context switch to the point of distraction and burnout
And to be abundantly clear: I AM referring to visual UI and graphics. Someone who can create captivating creative to capture the attention of potential users.
My experience here is a bit skewed because it is a lesson from working with the most talented technical designers in the world @tjcages + one of the all-time great marketers @DylanAbruscato.
But this is the #1 bit of advice I would give to early marketing teams: have a designer in the trenches with you.
At the end of the day, having a beautiful product without users/customers is not a great business model.
(No shade to Nikita obviously, this is great advice. I just see a lot of early stage teams WITH product designers and nobody designing for the marketing team.)
