On Friday, I got these flowers from my lovely teammates @fastbillnews. It was my last day after working there for 5 years. 🥲 My next adventure starts in September. I will join @Atlassian as Senior Software Engineer (#golang). 🤩

Every now and then I listen to this gem by @matryer again: youtube.com/watch?v=rzo8u03v… #golang #generics

Day 7 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge No Place to Hide Glenn Greenwald (2014) Besides the NSA and Snowden story I like this book for trying to give a feeling why privacy actually matters.

Day 6 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge The Emperor's New Mind: Concerning Computers, Minds and The Laws of Physics Sir Roger Penrose (1989) The last chapter "Where lies the physics of mind?" is my religion.

Day 5 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge The Character of Physical Law Richard Feynman (1967) Forget the colorful pictures in Stephen Hawking's books. If you really want some glimpse into what's going on in Physics you need to read Feynman.

Day 4 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge The Linux Command Line William Shotts (2012) This book was surprisingly entertaining. I was really hooked and learned a lot on the way.

Day 3 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge The Cave of Ideas ("Das Rätsel des Philosophen" in German) José Carlos Somoza (2000) If you like the Greek philosophers this is a must read. After finishing this book it felt like holding a magic object. 🤯 Get a hard copy!

Day 2 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge Summa Technologiae Stanisław Lem (1964) This is kind of a text book for the science in Science Fiction books. Some sections are outdated but many parts are still a fascinating read.

Day 1 of 7 #7covers #bookchallenge Steppenwolf Hermann Hesse (1927) "Magisches Theater. Eintritt nicht für jedermann. Nur--für--Ver--rückte!“ translation: "Magic theater. Entrance not for everybody. For madman only."

I am very late for this #7covers #bookchallenge and I might actually write a few words about each book. So lets just say I will share some books that stayed with me after putting them away. One each day, starting tomorrow.

Great Ignite talk by @eightfingerfood at the @wmfra today. She is working for Academic Experience Worldwide to give no room to the inner Nazi.
