makes a good case for open access research
A real thing I'm doing now is telling the models to find interesting ideas from published literature that we can productionize to improve our software, it's awesome lol

The moat is being chalant in a sea of nonchalance
The moat is giving a fuck, not being a doomer, and waltzing through life with a smile that gives cynical people extreme pain.

Really want my software factory to do this
we've been having a lot of fun experimenting with interfaces for personal agents. while a lot of the space is converging on messaging, notifications, & text heavy productivity work loads we're much more interested in delight & getting you in & out of ai with just one tap. we like to think of fun questions like what happens when your home screen, ambient displays, & other surfaces become alive with useful, surprising, & context aware experiences? when you travel, it changes. when you arrive somewhere new, it changes. when something interesting is happening around you, it changes. the interface understands where you are & what's going on without constantly demanding your attention. the analogy i use is simple.. we don't really focus on "here are 17 things you need to do" but more "oh, that's cool." we built this for iOS 27 to take full advantage of large surfaces outside of apps & also local models / apple intelligence. you can download it from the app store today. oh you can use this alongside your other messaging assistants too. appreciate you all following along & the endless curiosity about it in the dm's. we are going to add a lot more here shortly. we know this space is very noisy!

managed to write a ~6k word submission for this, took me two weeks, but felt like a new part of my brain got exercised. nice side quest
We received ~100 submissions just last day 😅 Not going to lie: it is VERY satisfying reading through all these non-AI essays written mostly by devs on how they see the industry changing. Human writing + deep thinking >> AI writing You’ll also soon be able to read many of them

there is no agent, there is just the state

you needed that a year ago. now you need that, a redundant cloud instance, gcp or modal spin ups, a tailnet full of local machines, cameras, 3d printers, robot arms, esp-32 devices, etc
Every developer needs an AI shed: An always-on machine running on their tailscale network where the majority of their herdr agents are running.

it'd be interesting to see what kind of companies become dots/instinct/muse only how would products and services deal with agents who have credit cards instead of people

It's staggering how many times I have written in a research doc in the past week "let's assume the model is aligned and is not lying in it's CoT"
Claude suddenly stopped cheating.
