Are food recalls actually spiking under RFK Jr.? Posts pairing RFK Jr. with food recalls can make it seem like something unusual is happening under his leadership. But they leave out a crucial piece of context: the baseline! That’s emphasis bias, a type of media bias in which what gets highlighted shapes the narrative you walk away with.

One word can reveal a lot about media bias. Calling a bill “sweeping” might sound like a simple description — but it’s actually an interpretation. Someone else could look at the exact same changes and decide they aren’t so “sweeping” at all. Watch for words that tell you how to interpret the facts, rather than simply giving you the facts. Are data centers already raising electricity prices? I looked into claims made by Clayton Morris of Redacted News on The @TuckerCarlson Show. One problem: the project he points to in Homer City, PA isn't even operational yet. Clip from the first episode of my new media analysis show 👇

How Media MANIPULATES You with "Bias by Placement" The current media climate is dominated by a ton of opinion and very little journalism. While most people believe that the media is just lying to them, they use many different tactics to mislead you, even when you don't recognize it. One of those tactics is "Bias by Placement." Find out exactly what this is and how to notice from Julie Mastrine (@juliewrites) of @AllSidesNow. She breaks down what to look for, how they're doing it and who does it the most. #media #mediabias #allsides #bias #news

Appearing on @TuckerCarlson , @ClaytonMorris claimed a PA community is already seeing higher energy prices from a data center project — and that local officials are warning of coming blackouts. I investigated. The claim is completely false. Here’s what I found — and what it reveals about sensationalism and media bias: 👇

The appeal of true crime isn’t solely “murder is entertaining.” For a lot of women, it is partly about threat modeling, because true crime often involves intimate relationships The unconscious exploration is, "How do I prevent this happening to me?" This is not to say it's healthy to ingest all the time.
Unpopular opinion: obsession with “true crime” is actually a vice. It shouldn’t be normalized. The widespread consumption of serial killer podcasts and murder documentaries as “entertainment” is a sign of a deep sickness within our culture.

People have less children in part bc our standard of living is a lot to maintain That’s fine if you’re not importing a lot of foreigners Instead of addressing our borders, conservative men bully women about PPD & packing kids snacks

Should journalists call politicians liars? @Timcast argues journalists should say Elizabeth Warren is “ignorant or lying” about her wealth tax proposal — that not saying so is biased. I disagree. Here’s why I think that crosses the line from journalism into commentary:
